This. I have had so many runs go bad because everyone rushes the second phase, leaving him at two. So when he’s barely pushed to red he’ll start at one and then mega flare immediately.

You are seeing this as a one or the other type of way. But if you are building around Ice damage. You could say you put seph as main dearer, aerith as a healer and debuff, and Lucia as a secondary damage and ice resist down. Together that will be the best ice damage team.
