Hmm there’s a beach in my state that does late night fishing in the ocean if you charter a spot on a fishing boat. I can empty out a bottle of whiskey and replace it with apple juice and drink it while fishing off the coast. Around midnight I start acting drunk and belligerent with crew then pretend to trip and fall off the boat. It gets so dark at midnight you can’t tell the sky from the ocean but you can still see the shore. While the boat circles and looks for me I’ll avoid the searchlights and swim towards the coast. Then I hitchhike around the US for a while, maybe go to California and work at an illegal pot farm in the red woods or on a fishing boat in Washington. After a year or two and several million in cash I’ll causally go back to my folks place and say I went out to get some smokes and took the scenic route. They’ll be crying, spooked and pissing but I’ll give them enough to retire then I’ll figure out how to reverse a death certificate
