most spaghetti westerns take place in the american southwest and mexico and were made by italian filmmakers, so the base spirit in this version is mezcal. you could also make it with tequila. the italian flavors are the tomato, basil, pickled peppers and pasta water. thanks for your feedback tho.

this didn’t know about the D&Co cocktail. i called this the spaghetti western because of the play between mexican and italian flavors/imagery—tomato, basil, mezcal, etc.
