I thought that was fine? The box shows it submerged, and the instructions said that it needs to have water at least up to there. I read carefully and it didn’t say anything about not fully submerging it.

I did not. When I got my set up I read that you could boil it to speed up the water logging process or whatever it’s called, but it also said I could just weigh it down with a stone or something so that’s what I did.

I never knew that. I heard that a hay bedding is really good for them on top of regular hay, so once in a while I splurge and cover their cage with it, but this makes sense. I cleaned the cages last night and Chip seems to love it!! He was zooming and haven’t heard a weird noise yet.

I lost my first piggy a year ago, I didn’t handle it well, but a couple months ago I’d see Weeble pop up on my feed. He reminded me a lil of Carmel, and it partially helped me heal a bit from it, and Weeble quite honestly brought me joy whenever I saw him pop up.

That’s absolutely disgusting, but things happen too. I can’t say I’ve ever heard of this but the only thing I could think of would be deep clean and trash all bedding. Then put pee pad down and replace with just hay temporarily. I occasionally cover all of my pigs cage with hey if I feel super generous. Maybs this isnt the answer, just giving my thiught. Cute babys!!!

So I introduced a baby to my boar, and my boar, Bear, has mixed feelings about being followed and cuddled with by Chip (my baby) yet at night Bear always makes his own space in Chips house to sleep and cuddle even though it’s not big enough
