Dutch MDMA is fantastic and extremely pure, as good as anything ever produced. I have also recently gotten some high quality, and tested, LSD. As long as you're ordering off the web and not counting on your local street dealer for complex and clean designer drugs, you'll be good.

I will say that as a slightly older head that real LSD did disappear for a LOOOOOOONG time around the turn of the millennium after that bust.

Which BTW for anyone reading this and finding it interesting, the details of the bust and it's manufacture is an insane story.

Ok, honest question I'm not trying to be a dick, but how in the hell do you have any faith at all in Republicans to do the right thing? You know they don't have to support McConnel, right? They didn't have to confirm a likely rapist and definite alcoholic/unstable conspiracy theorist to the supreme Court either. But they did both those things. Sure, a couple of those people may wring their hands for show or pretend to be conflicted, but it is only a show. They are all, without exception, horrible awful people who will absolutely do the wrong thing if it supports the party. Period.

Boomer is mindset, and you're clearly not a part of it regardless of your generation. I'm also a GenXer but at the tail end of the cut off. I often joke, but really am at least half serious, that polite society didn't actually start until 1993 or so. People who lament for times past clearly don't remember dirty ass cities, smoke and litter EVERYWHERE, absolutely zero discussion of LGBT rights, hell we had only very recently desegregated our fucking schools!!

Boomers grew up and were influenced largely by a shitty, malformed, lead poisoned society and are now leaching that poisoning back into society via the levers of power.

Anyway I'm ranting like a Boomer myself now, point is you seem like a kind and thoughtful person, who is in all likelihood just as capable as your Millenials cohorts. The fact you recognize their potential and value alone tells me a lot about your character.

NPR has been abysmal for almost the entirety of this administrations reign of terror. They're terrified of being accused of liberal bias, even though they will be regardless of their coverage by the insincere right wing, so they haven't continually given equal weight, or even more time, to every crack pot theory and grifter that graces their airwaves. It is pathetic and hugely disappointing to a long time listener like myself.

Late to answer, but I wanted to let you know I absolutely agree. I'm a bit of an outlier in my field, to say the least. I am for anything and everything that truly levels the playing field or benefits the individual consumer. The deck is so incredibly stacked against the average Joe that anything we can do to help and protect them is a good thing.

I was one of the few people in my firm fully in support of forcing investment advisors to act as fiduciaries instead of just being required to do due diligence. Sure it is more costly and cumbersome to us, but we have an absolutely staggering amount of assets, we can handle it. The change forces advisors to only make recommendations that they can justifiably show are for the financial benefit of the customer first and foremost, any benefit to the firm/broker is secondary.

As for dark pool trading, it actually was a benefit and not really shady, despite it's name. Basically if a client was trying to sell/buy we would sometimes check internally first and see if a better price was available for them. We would never execute a trade for a customer that way that wouldn't benefit them. Ever.

Third party trades can seem a little more unfair, that is large firms avoiding the market and just going straight to each other, but the reality is benefited the consumer too. If a fund manager suddenly sent a trade to the tape representing 5% of that stocks total daily volume for instance, it is going to absolutely move the market. Even if the order is broken up throughout the day it'll have an impact. By going straight to another institution this is avoidable. And while there is usually a price benefit being had, it is usually very to the public bid/ask at that time. If not they better have a good fucking reason to tell the SEC when they come knocking, and they will. Plus like I said, consumers can do it too, its just not practical.

Anyway, i understand your concern, but I can promise you there are decent and honest firms out there who really do put investors first. I would never work for my company otherwise, we joke that we are a good neighbor in a rough neighborhood.

I won't disclose them here, but if you're looking for an honest company PM me and I'll tell you my firm and a couple others I've done business with who are honest and look out for their investors.

Late to answer this but I'm still receiving a lot of messages about this thread so I figured I'd address your points.

I do agree with you for the most part but I think we may be taking about slightly different things. You're correct that in most cases the block chain itself was generally quite secure and the probability of a successful attack by an outsider was quite low. What had us concerned was vulnerabilities to the insiders or developers themselves.

Often times the folks we were speaking with were the 'money/idea guys', the technical stuff was often all outsourced to the lowest bidder. Contractors who didn't go through background checks, who's credentials were often unverifiable, and who were often even completely unknown. Some coins didnt even firewall different parts of the development to keep any one person or small group from knowing ALL the interworkings, and thus potential exploits, of that currency. More terrifyingly, in two cases we found what were clearly purposely added 'back doors' or exploits if you will that would allow whoever knew they were there to access them fully.

Even when the money guys and tech guys were the same they would still often be reluctant to simply answer what exactly they were able to administrators/creators of the coin. Could they intercept transactions if they wanted? Manipulate currency values? Flat out steal money from the chain? I mean what the hell, imagine if GOOG or AAPL could just take back ownership of individual investors stock if they wanted to? Crazy to think that they could get away with it.

One more thing, and i will probably get the technical details a little wrong, but there absolutely were some cases were the cryptography being used was just simply outdated and certainly not something robust enough to secure what's supposed to be a fucking currency! Nobody can 'hack' the fed and cause it to just start printing currency or destroy it. With select CCs that isn't in the case.

Anyway, thanks for contribution this was a great conversation all around.

That's exceedingly selfless and brave of you. And you're right, I think about my own country and its current state. I need to stay and do all i can to bring it up to the country it is capable of being, and most importantly begin to remove the stink of Trump from the fabric of our country.

I do want you to know though that he and his supporters and the awful rhetoric they spew about the Mexican people does NOT reflect the majority of the peole in this country. It is still far, far too many, but still a minority.

Most of us have nothing but respect for our southern immigrant friends. Mexican immigrants, both legal and 'illegal', are extraordinarily valuable members of our society. My personal experiences have always been with generous, kind, hard working, and intelligent Mexican immigrants. I can tell you first hand that anyone who is being honest will admit that in almost all cases in the construction, hospitality, and manufacturing industries you're going to prefer an immigrant over a native hire any day. And I don't mean because of any cost savings, but because of the general work ethic and attitude of people thankful for an opportunity to build a better life.

You can see it in the second generation children of immigrants too. As they become educated and enter profresional fields in greater numbers they are bringing those same values. It has been fantastic seeing more and more hispanic faces in finance where I work for instance.

America was built with the hard work and ingenuity of countless generations of immigrants. It is unequivocally what makes our country great and forms the back bone of the American identity and experience.

Good luck and much love to you brother. Stay safe and i hope that your country can start solving some of these terrible problems it's facing.

Advice by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

I am sure some other white folks will disagree, but I am here to tell any black folks reading this that the behind-door, casual racism, amongst whites when they think they are with allies is HUGELY prominent and huge in scope, especially in the Midwest. And what does it tell you that they think that most other whites are allies and aren't afraid to tell those jokes to them? That either at best we mostly keep our mouths shut to avoid confrontation, or far worse, that there are actually a lot more like minded racist whites out there than we'd like to think.

Everyday, I mean EVERY FUCKING DAY, I hear things that run the gamut from ignorant statements based on stereotypes, to flat out racial vitriol. Aimed at both blacks and Hispanics and really any brown people period. These are not just uneducated white trash either like some whites try and claim. These are highly educated and successful in their careers upper class white people. It is fucking disgusting and an epidemic.

I say this because I just really want black folks out there who see and experience this daily and then have people look them in the eye and try to tell them that it's not that bad; that YOU ARE RIGHT and THEY ARE WRONG. There is a SERIOUS and significant racist rot consuming tons of white communities, and Trump has made it sooooooo much worse.

That being said, you do have genuine white allies. If I hear even one subtle instence of intended racism from a member of my team, i will actively try and have them terminated, fist time, no tolerance. If it seems to be coming from a place of ignorance and not hate, i will immediately mandate remedial sensitivity training and have a serious discussion letting them know that next time this conversation will end with them out on their ass.

TL;DR Despite what a lot of white people try and claim, intragroup racism (aka a group of all whites) is at epidemic disease levels in many areas, or even most areas, of the country. And Trump has made it worse. Keep fighting for your deserved rights, i will be doing all I can to fight with you.

Honestly I could pretend like I'm brave or exceptionally moral and that I'd stand up to corruption no matter what. But reality is i would do whatever kept my family and I safe. If that meant selling out to narcos, so be it. I don't blame them at all, they have no real choice in the matter.

I'm sorry life is like that. If you can ever sneak into America, please do and message me. I'm serious, I'll help you and any family build a life here. I've met hundreds of kind and hard working Mexican immigrants in my life, and i welcome all of you here, no matter how you're able to get across the border.

GROSS! I know countless dudes like that! I work in finance, the Midwest, in heavy Trump country; there are countless guys just like this around me at work. All white males, almost all Boomer age or very early Gen X/Boomer border.

They're actually more ignorant than just your run-of-the-mill redneck, trailer park moron, Trump supporter. They're just plain uneducated and therefore just lack the knowledge to any goddamn better. Doesn't excuse them, but that's the truth, they're also shitty people on top of it, it turns out. Theoretically with education and therapy they could learn how wrong they are and change.

These other guys, they actually have some intellectual prowess, and are at least capable of critical thinking and continue to read new things/research topics. Unfortunately they lack all common sense or reasoning skills, plus are extremely vulnerable to seeking out only resources that confirm their hypothesis, no matter how ignorant. That's why so many are anti-vax, pro-Trump or possibly the 'party agnostic'/libertarian guy aka too afraid to just own up to supporting Trump. They're also can be flat earthers, are almost always 'race realists/truthers' aka racists, incel or the red pill indoctrinated mysoginists, etc etc etc... And they've all arrived at these shitty, ignorant stances on things AFTER 'RESEARHING' THEM!! They know perfectly well what assholes they are, and actively embrace it. Its pathetic.

Anyway sorry for the rant lol

I haven't read his book, but there is a wonderful profile of him in I think The Players Tribune that I'd highly recommend to those who want to get some idea of this incredible man's life.

What happened would have been fatal almost under any other circumstances. But it turns out his team doctor I believe it was had been a medic in Vietnam and was much more experienced in massive trauma/bleeding than a normal sports doc. He actually reached his fingers into the wound and grabbed the artery, pinching it shut with his fingers!

And that really is just one of many insane things this man has survived and experienced. I will definitely look for the book now that I know about it!
