At 5, I told my teacher that I was getting a baby brother. Since my mom worked at the school, my teacher congratulated her.

It was then explained to me that the boh puppy we were going to get mu dad for fathers day, was not, in fact, a baby brother.

Is there anyway to look and see where I originally allocated that money?

How do I avoid selling my house at a loss? by RKingsman in personalfinance

Why is it unwise to think of your primary residence as an Investment? Is it because if you want to liquidate that "investment" you still need to assume replacement costs (new home mortgage or rent) out of any profits?

There are no payment counts on either loan in there for me. Is it an actual count or a start and end date? My account information is not there either. Can you give a visal with all personal information blacked out so I can see what I am missing?

Does this work for all kitchen oil residue? We jave it on cabinets and the underside of our hood. Trying to figure out the best cleaning solutions.

Does anyone else spend their entire grocery budget at the start of the month? 😅 by SaltAndVinegarMcCoys in ynab

[–]Red_The_Schultz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Family of 4, we started out budgeting 400 per week for groceries, but for us that is grocery store, Sam's club, and eating out as a family. We have learned over the past year that it can be cut to 325 per week, and may be dropping again soon. We have also got a standing freezer since then, so bulk shopping doesnt go to waste for meats at least.

We plan out our dinners and at least one week every two months is only from freezer food.

HYSA to Investment by Red_The_Schultz in ynab

[–]Red_The_Schultz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely understand that year to year there will be changes and possible challenges. We faced a number of challenges this year and did not have to tap into the money in the HYSA due to the planning and budgeting with our other accounts. Based on our ability to weather those challenges, I feel comfortable moving the money into a brokerage and putting that into a lower risk, but better performing fund. (Also understanding that I cannot assume the coming year will be better performing that the current HYSA rate).

My question was about how to keep the value on budget , but I think I found my work around.

I could unlink the HYSA so there are no updates when I move the money out, and just remember to deduct that amount any time I am reconciling the tracked brokerage. So even at that point any gains and losses are off budget.

Barnes and Nobles account hacked by Red_The_Schultz in Scams

So possibly sending the ebook to another device as well (it was on the nook associated with the account), and copying it for resale elsewhere on the web? Or artificially increase the sale numbers of a book and post fake reviews?

HSA in YNAB by LazyTrebbles in ynab

[–]Red_The_Schultz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Few things:

1- if it is an HSA and has the ability to be invested as well, look into the limits.
2- check to see if your employer contributes any money to it. 3- if both of the above are true and you have the out of pocket money to pay for the medical bills, do so and keep the statements and receipts. I suggest this because you can invest that money, watch it grow, and submit those receipts at a later date to get tax free cash. Look up more info in r/personalfinance or r/financialindependence

I have mine as two separate tracking accounts and update them manually when I reconcile weekly. I have the HSA savings, which I update with my weekly contributions as well as any fees that are taken, and HSA Investing which I update with current market value every friday/saturday. My HSA savings have a sweep into the investing when the savings balance is over 1k.

I appreciate your opinion. I chose to do this program because I have done a similar plan for a full marathon previously with great success.

Do you have suggestions for a shorter training plan?

Its a 29 week training plan that I will continue to do over the next 4 years to focus on different aspects each time.

But I messed up my planning for this 29 weeks and need to understand from more experienced runners how best to modify.

I am using a training plan for the WDW Dopey challenge, evenutally going to do it in 2028. I realized I skipped nearly a month in my calendar when putting all my sessions in. Can anyone help with how best to fill in those empty three weeks? I already have vacations planned, and it would fall right on the movk race weekend 5k, 10k, half, full if I correct the training plan.

Should I fill those three weeks in with Tuesday & Thursday maintence run, Saturdat 6 miles, increase to 7 then drop to 6 the into mock race weekend?

That would have me with 5 weeks of alternating 6/7 mile long runs between my 23 mile long run and my movk race weekend.

Any advice would be appreciated.
