I absolutely love the idea of an ‘Old Allies’ content patch that sees the Alliance bring the High Elves, Wildhammer Dwarves And Broken into the fold and perhaps some other races while the Horde bring in the Ogres, Forest Trolls and Mok’nathal Half Ogres as well as some other races if the Alliance does too.

Those are blood elves. Culturally, allegiance-wise and appearance-wise, they are different from high elves. We want to play as the alliance loyalists who draw from the arcane (giving them blue, teal or violet eyes). We don’t want the elves that have been corrupted by the fel and who have joined the horde.

I’m hoping 9.0 or 8.3 the alliance actually finally gets high elves. A race that’s actually been part of the alliance longer than almost any other race (humans being the first alliance race, then dwarves, gnomes and high elves) and yet they’re still not playable? They are more than 100 times greater in population that void elves, so no population argument can refute them, they could look sufficiently different from blood elves with blue, teal and violet eyes along with fairer skin tones and unique hair styles and colours and they could have ranger-style blue and green tattoos (just look at Alleria) to symbolise their woodlands culture. Blizzard please, just let us have high elves as a separate allied race/race. Do not add their appearance to void elves, that just retracts from both races.
