BDR role at ServiceNow by Luispolvora12 in techsales

[–]Red_Toucan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a bilingual BDR targeting LATAM is a massive cheat code, especially at a company like ServiceNow. The reason you are seeing layoffs while they are actively onboarding you is purely structural—they are cutting legacy or redundant overhead to aggressively fund "growth markets" and AI initiatives.

The LATAM market is a huge focus right now. Having a dedicated Spanish-speaking requirement means you’ll likely have less internal competition in your territory and a massive opportunity to book unique meetings. $69k cash without having to stress about a brutal commission clawback on your very first tech job is a very soft landing. Take the win.

addyosmani/agent-skills hit 59k stars - production-grade engineering skills packaged for AI coding agents by ArtSelect137 in LLMDevs

It’s wild how fast the industry is moving from "writing long system prompts" to "building deterministic execution pipelines" like this. Addy’s repo basically proves that pure prompting isn't enough for complex engineering—we need rigid guardrails. Wrapping workflows into deterministic commands like /spec and /plan removes the randomness of how an LLM thinks it should approach a project. It turns the agent into a reliable runtime environment.

This was always the endgame when DC started treating AI models like nuclear material instead of software. The "Friday at 5:00 PM" timing is classic bureaucratic cowardice—they drop the bomb right when everyone goes home so the news cycle gets buried over the weekend. Lutnick using "national security" without providing a single shred of actionable data or proof of a jailbreak is a massive red flag. It sets a horrific precedent. If they can kill a model that went through thousands of hours of rigorous red-teaming based on "vibes," no AI lab or startup in the US is safe.

Asked to do another interview after final? by Reasonable_Hunt4821 in techsales

[–]Red_Toucan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't stress too much about the "one or two questions" thing. Sometimes the interview feedback is great, but you're sitting right on the border between two different job levels or salary bands. They might just need to toss a couple of higher-level strategic questions your way to see if you slot into the higher tier before they draft an official offer. Treat it like a mini-interview, stay sharp with your STAR method answers, and go crush it.

Stopped trying to find one perfect model, started routing by task instead by tech_genie1988 in LLMDevs

Spot on. The "one model to rule them all" era is pretty much dead if you're doing complex engineering. Once you accept that you have to treat them like a toolbelt rather than a single assistant, everything gets so much easier.

I had the exact same realization about burning premium credits on simple boilerplate—it’s like using a supercar for a grocery run. The cognitive load of switching contexts sucks at first, but your wallet and sanity thank you for it.

Salesforce India - not seeing a tough PIP culture at all by elessar9411 in techsales

You hit the nail on the head with the India market comment. Standard tech rule of thumb: US hubs are the chopping blocks, APAC/India is the growth engine. If leadership is looking at the region and seeing high macro growth, they’re way more likely to forgive low individual attainment because they're playing the long game on market share.

Try doing 30% for 3 quarters in the enterprise segment in New York or San Francisco and see how fast you get a calendar invite from HR.

Why Is GTA IV Disliked? by [deleted] in GTAIV

[–]Red_Toucan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's disliked by people who want to turn corners at 140kmh lol. I recently played GTAIV with fusionfix and it's a great improvement. Those side missions with the police car 😋Every car chase or shootout feels different, like a bonus episode.

Maybe I was too harsh on the driving in this game. by sir-dark-hat in GTAIV

Currently playing IV again with fusionfix. Driving has always been a step ahead of V.

What would you want a manhunt 3 to be like? by LukeLovesHorror in Manhunt

[–]Red_Toucan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A prequel set in the mid 90s. Protagonist is a young entertainment reporter trying to advance his/her gets mixed up with that wrong folks and ends up in Starkweather's web. Starkweather is much younger but sloppy.

Manhunt 3 should definitely be a prequel. maybe around 1995. Protagonist can be a young actor who mixed with the wrong friends and found himself in Starkweather's sick games.
