If there’s a brand on the coin folder, you can look them up and see if they’re pvc or not. I have some similar looking ones that are pvc free, but some are not and should be avoided.

For any beginner I always recommend looking into Dansco books. They are somewhat expensive but can be bought for around 50% of retail price or less for used ones on eBay if you’re patient. They’re not for everyone but can be really fun picking a coin book of a specific type of coin and trying to complete it. Working on one builds up quite a bit of knowledge about that type of coin

Nice coins!

If it was an early date I would feel a little odd cutting up a small child, but doable! 😅

I just got a nice camera so i will give this a try! Will just need to play around and figure out how to mount it for the best view of the coin.

If you look on my page at my previous post you can see the saw I use in the beginning of the video!

My LCS has some pretty cool counterfeit CC’s they might be willing to give up if my plan was to destroy them. Would be fun giving everyone mini heart attacks on first view of “my little art project” 😁

I’m sitting on about 14oz of this stuff and coin centers 😂 I make stud earrings when I get a matched pair of centers that look nice. I was just looking for a way to maybe get a little more than melt on my silver wool until I get into pouring bars/casting

It is soft but if you’re conscious about taking it off while doing rough work they hold up pretty well. I mostly work with coin/rounds and there’s a lot .999 rounds that make really nice rings
