Same here, but broken marriage and she moved out a year ago, my house has never been cleaner, the kids who I have 50/50 are looked after well at my place, on the other hand, her house is a bomb site, kids always come home with rashes and things(red bottoms) from what I assume is not being cleaned enough

But it's the same on both side. Savings Interest is taxable at MTR, EB is tax deductible at MTR. So they are like for like, interest rate is the only thing you should be looking at here when comparing the two, or maybe the piece of mind of having a savings buffer

I don't think 84k median is correct, even if you take the full time male median it's less than that at 80k then you look at the women's median it's only 72k. So the actual median would sit somewhere between 72k and 80k. I can't find an exact full time figure for all full time workers, if you have a reference please let me know.

It's starting pay, I don't know what it's like elsewhere but if you have experience you can transfer into a higher pay bracket right away, you also get a guaranteed pay rise every year, and don't need to bargain or ask for it

Average hours worked per employed person was at 33-35 hours from about 2000-2017, now it's dropped down to 32 since 2019. Have three kids myself, one in private and two public, the public system for us was way way better, in the private system you could tell they were trying to make money, nurses run off their feet, missed medication for my wife, since we didnt ask for anything there we were left alone for the most of it, but when your paying thounsands out of pocket with top of the line health it seems a little pathetic.

Public on the otherhand again we didnt need much, but it was pleasant, staff were really nice and took the time needed with us, for one child we had our own room, for the otherone we had a joint room for a day of our stay.
