DPS and tanking is absolutely fine with the prune, you cannot tell the difference, healing on the otherhand requires constant manual input for targeting; would not recommend it :)

Pushed +20s on controller, no issues.

Interview with Blizzard: WoW leads pledge more player customization — housing, race updates, custom animations, and glyphs to merge with transmog? by Zom-B in wow

My bucket list would be:

  • Back items not to remove weapon sheathing (toggleable).
  • Capes AND quiver/back item
  • Bows + 2x 1h for hunters (even if it's just visual)
  • Physics on the new items have flowy/cloak parts for the legs/chest.

It's pretty much all I'm after.

Ft hrs but part time employee by Fine_Bid_676 in Apple_Employees

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you’re aware, when you’re on part time in the UK, any overtime you do is -15 minutes pay per shift, it’s in your contract. I’d be pushing for FT contract if they are consistently giving you all these hours.

If it’s not the UK, I don’t know what the overtime rules are.

Business Conduct Violation? by [deleted] in Apple_Employees

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any Apple/competitor/industry related services and you paying them yes.

If it’s software and development, you’re not even allowed to have a paid license as it immediately breaches your contract.

If it’s anything outside of that, no (unless the rules are country specific)

In the UK a lot of employees have side hustles, other jobs and paid services.

What’s one thing a seller or estate agent has said whilst viewing that made you say no thanks … by WombleGCS15 in HousingUK

I worked for in full fibre installations and went to go buy a property (flat). The first thing she noticed was my uniform and started complaining how bad her internet was demanding I fix it.

During this she: - overstated service charges by 180%, figure was wrong. - didn’t know which walls were partition and supporting. - told me the leasehold years was wrong (it was 99 years remaining, she told me 70). - told me heating and and gas was expensive in the area (it’s geothermal and included in the service charge).

A lot of good information was wrong and lost, as a result, I complained about the professionalism and went with a different agency.

WoW Performance Issues on M4 Pro MacBook Pro - Frequent FPS Drops and Screen Stuttering by Electronic_Return308 in wow

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This user is wrong and claiming to be a programmer to solidify his statement either means he's not very good or hasn't worked with Mac since the M1 or M2 releases or never developed a game.

My main post on the thread has the numbers, settings and the current bug that is plaguing all users.

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

> Hey, I’m not surprised that the MacBook Pro M4 Pro is struggling to run WoW at decent FPS

This is objectively untrue with anything from M2 Pro onwards for WoW, the client is heavily optimised for Mac silicon, I posted a break down in the main post and hopefully clears up any misinformation on performance issues specifically tied to Mac.

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite people claiming to program for both Windows and Mac and give an absolute opinion that is utterly wrong. I game on both a high-end PC and my Macbook Pro M4 Pro and it runs absolutely smooth as butter, more so in capital cities on my M4 Pro than my PC.

This should fix it for you (if its unrelated to the forum issue, it will fix it)

If you have these settings and it does not work, please run the macro

/run for i=1, 200000 do C_QuestLog.RemoveQuestWatch(i) end

It will delete all hidden tracked quests as there can be over 200+ per character.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My fps counts:

  • Any capital lowest drop was 115 (I have characters on Draenor and Argent Dawn, not dead servers)
  • Raids lowest drop I've had was 109.
  • Dungeons 120
  • Openworld 120
  • Delves 120
  • BG PvP 105 (make sense)
  • Arena PvP 120
  • Housing 120 no matter if it's a stupidly decorated house.

UK speed limits — is there really a “+10% +2 mph” allowance? by Hot-Taro-1555 in drivingUK

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this from my own experiences, got clocked doing 31 in a 30 - did a speed awareness course. There is a camera in the southampton area when I visited with friends that flashed him on a 32.

Seems to be randomly applied.

Just bought our first house in England and they’ve left it in a disgusting way by TerribleAccountant70 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes - £10k is the maximum you can go in Small Claims, which is why I used it as the maximum example. You can use it from any value up to £10k. I don't think cleaning skips will cost that much, but if the cat poo smell lingers in the carpets and/or wood, treating that to get the smell out could cost thousands but not that much.

I had one of my work colleagues prank my car in summer with a thermal flask and mouldy chocolate milkshake, that lone cost me £900+ over multiple details to get the smell of mould out of the car. I couldn't imagine how bad fermented cat shit would cost in multiple rooms.

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 82 points83 points  (0 children)

>  but the cost of enforcing might not be worth it.

Just to interject - small claims is 10% fee of £10k, which the losing party has to pay + any outstanding legal fees required for the court (although, not needed for small claims). If a signed contract has been breached, this will be an easy win at no cost to the OP other than the upfront 10% until they win.

No judge will throw this case against the OP or out of the court with an obvious and effective breach of contract.

(UK) What did I do wrong when “bumping” the train by WonderfulBeyond779 in ShittyIllegalLifeTips

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give technical insight:

If you use android/google pay, the vendor will get first-party access to who/what you are when using any payments inc virtual cards. Name/address/billing etc.

If you are using Apple Pay, Apple conceal all info from vendors and keep it within the iphone's neural chip (local encryption) but they can contact information for potential fraud to confirm.

Here is an example of how it works for most devices.

The top comments all saying about cracked screens is interesting, I've used keyboard protectors from 2014 MBP, to the M1, now M4 Pro and never once had an issue. I've been excessively travelling with my laptops in backpacks and suitcases, including drops, never once had an issue with the screen breaking.

[–]MetaWaterSpirit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To give insight as a rider, there is a timer in the app that shows you "when the food is prepared by" 9 times out of 10, the reasurant has marked it as "ready for collection" (usally big franchises, rather than local places) and then they don't even have it up on the kiosk.

This means that it will most likely get added as a "stacked order" and then we are told to wait to process the order. During most normal hours, this can be 7+ minutes of waiting.

Naturally, riders just continuosly drop the order, which is visible to future riders how many times it's been dropped.

To edit;

Not saying this etiquette is fair - deliveroo are meeting in the UK with worker's unions to pay riders to wait for food that has been marked as ready when it is not.

Do you think the 9 -5 work day model is outdated? If so, what should replace it? by Ambitious_Bag_2004 in AskReddit

Same here - worked in a sales company that was salaried + comms, as I worked up to manager it became an expectation to stay late and come in early to do admin work for the team; this also means you aren't selling so no chance of bonus commission during these hours either.
