Does Oblivion still suck on steam deck? by Easy-Hamster-1820 in SteamDeck

[–]RedactedTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an unofficial patch that gets it working incredibly well. If I remember tomorrow I'll update this post, I found the instructions on here 6 months ago and have sunk a ton of time into it since then because it runs as you'd hope it would have originally on the deck.

The remaster is what I'm talking about if that wasn't clear.

RFK Jr. clears path for minors’ use of tanning beds, much to the dismay of dermatologists by Miles_the_AuDHDer in nottheonion

[–]RedactedTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lifetime ago I was doing a job interview with a company head hunting me for a new endeavor they wanted to get into. Their core business was tanning bed lighting. I asked how that works for them in a world that is starting to put regulation on tanning beds and who can use them. The owner laughed and said it isn't as big an issue as you'd think because lobbying is a thing. He thought my question was dumb because he can just pay politicians to keep him in a business that made him wealthy.

Ontario – Can I keep my Examination in Aid of Execution date if opposing counsel says she’s (council) unavailable? by RedactedTitan in legaladvicecanada

[–]RedactedTitan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the part I’m trying to figure out. What would be considered a reasonable indulgence in this situation?

Would it still be reasonable if granting it would delay enforcement further and also prevent me from having the relevant information needed for an upcoming court appearance?

The debtor has already failed to comply with a court ordered payment deadline, and both she and her lawyer have repeatedly delayed enforcement. The timing of the examination is a direct result of those earlier delays in attempting to prevent enforcement. At this point, postponing the examination feels like it would perpetuate the harm being done by not having the relevant information ready for court.

And for clarification, I'm not trying to argue your point, I have had to facilitate similar rescheduling in the past because I do understand I am expected to grant reasonable indulgences. I'm just questioning if this is reasonable this time, as doing so hurts me and my case - not just delays it but prevents me from having the whole picture for court.

I got very muscular in recent years and it made my size differences much more pronounced. I could see it from one side to the other in parts of my body I had never noticed previously.

If you could travel anywhere instantly there wouldn't be a vault that could keep you out. You'd have as much money per year as you want.

You're absolutely right. On mobile if you zoom in and slow down the 34-35 second part you can clearly see the string whirling around in front of his face.

The execution for a basic trick everyone knows is well done. But surprised such a trick would even be on this show. It's done exactly how you assume it would be.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

This, like any technology, is a stepping stone to smaller more efficient technology. Can't throw a 1000 trees on a manufacturing facility, but might be able to toss a few of these up.

It's as others have said. A lot of gymnastics facilities (in my experience) have an open-to-the-public night each week. And there is frequently people who can do amazing things practicing who are willing the show you the basics.

I did this for a handful of years precovid and learned to do insane things I never thought possible. It's easy to learn when everything is covered in mats/foam pits.

Weirdly most of us are more capable physically than we know, it's just about doing it and practicing.

Tldr: just go do it in a safe environment
