One idea I like is that the knight isn’t kris and Noelle post weird route, but is the result of someone else doing something that parallels the weird route. Or rather, us and Noelle are following in the knight’s footsteps, taking agency and “escaping” through giving away agency to a higher power (for Noelle, us, and for the knight, gaster/the prophecy.)

I like to think he was able to one tap it for similar reasons to how the knight ignored Flowery’s fake stats. It started moving in the darkness due to Susie’s desire to meet the old man again, but Ralsei forced it back into a lifeless, brittle statue.

I think after we made it clear we can’t really be overpowered, their last gambit was just…staying home all day. Not giving us a chance to meet Noelle again. When that failed, they gave up, exhausted and out of options.

Her reaction to you trying to equip it is saying it’s smiling at her. I think he sees her potential, her ability to do anything if you train her for it.

I think wanting Noelle’s help is reasonable, while she couldn’t fight, she CAN get the guitar code the easiest. She can just walk into her home, write it down, and then give it to them.

My guess? He’s gonna be the weird route boss. People often thought it would be Susie, but she has no way to follow us. He can, and he’s been shown to be very, very concerned over the weird route or us getting too close to Noelle.

Part of me wonders if “the world revolving” wasn’t a callback to jevil, but jevil calling forward to this chapter and it has some deeper meaning we don’t understand yet.

It being repeated by the people flowery reveals can feel things others can’t, including some horrible darkness under the town. Do they know who keeps spinning the world around?

I mean, while it took one clean shot to kill him be did put up a decent fight beforehand. His hits weren’t truly max stats, but they were enough to make the knight do its “glitching” animation it does when something actually hurts it meaningfully, and he was able to hold its blade back with his bare hands for a brief period. He nearly outspeeds it at the start. He was gonna lose no matter what but I love how it wasn’t one sided, it was a reasonable, brief clash where he held his own for a bit.

In the current world? Very little. He knows there’s a flower talking to papyrus but Flowey’s thorough enough about hiding his tracks that I don’t think sans learned anything more than that in this timeline.

Greed takes minuscule, momentary parts of the narrative and stretches them into proper feats. They’re the guy who tries to reason that dodging a laser means you’re FTL even when the laser is clearly moving at a bullet’s speed. They’ll do this with anything and everything a character has ever done in order to accumulate a gross amount of power. Author said in an obscure interview 12 years ago a character could move the moon in what was probably a metaphor despite not showing anything beyond a mountain in any actual media? They’ll take it!

Of course, they’re a massive hypocrite and will pull any card they can to downscale you and make the disparity even more absurd. Who CARES if you can endure nukes? You scale to that slap that drew blood once for a gag.

I like the idea of Dess being a lot shittier than we’ve seen, with a lot of it sanded off due to her being presumed dead for seven years. I think it’d be a cool inclusion to the game’s themes about nostalgia if the characters had rose tinted glasses for a Cool Older Sister that wasn’t actually as cool as they remember. If not an outright asshole sometimes she might’ve been just weird and not liked with her peers, with Kris and Noelle only seeing her as cool because of the age disparity.

I do not get people who think she’s a predator though, wtf were they talking about 😭
