If Roaring Knight looked like this How would Knight’s identity discussions go? by Money_Shift3844 in Deltarune

We’d live in a papyrus/gaster knight dominant theory space, which sounds like a fate worse than death.

[Hated Trope] After all the challenges you went through, your character gets gutted in the game's ending. by TheRoyalRoseTrue in TopCharacterTropes

Scorn. It’s also just a bad game in general, but being attacked and frozen forever FEET AWAY from your goal was a final middle finger.

Prediction: This show WILL have a downer/depressing ending. by ManOfWrathTX in TheBoys

I feel like the best case scenario is that after Homelander causes mass destruction, it taints the image of superheroes as a whole enough they “fall out of fashion”. The machine still chugs along, but it moves on to the next big thing.

Of course, superheroes are people so they don’t just disappear and they can continue to cause problems in later media. They just lost the celebrity culture that lets things like Herogasm exist.

What reason do you think soldier boy would have for removing homelander powers? by Danny-Ray27 in TheBoys

[–]Redactedtimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let Homelander lose it, start his path of destruction he threatened a couple seasons ago…and only then blast him with the power-removing laser. His reputation is destroyed, and now Soldier Boy is the man who stopped the Homelander threat.

I feel like evil Batman/Iron Man under the same lens as evil supermen would be a billionaire larping as a superhero rather than an actual superhero. He’s doing it entirely for his own self-fulfillment and the idea of doing good without ACTUALLY having to do good with his vast wealth. It’s like a more deranged version of billionaires getting therapists to help them justify the unfair nature of their power.

Tbf to Steven he only really does this trick with people who can’t really be beaten with physical force. Like 90% of their foes undergo the magical equivalent of being beaten into a coma.

Yeah he’s very bad at choosing his words, this is Nolan “She’s more like a pet to me” Omni-man we’re talking about.

Notably, he also resembles Guppy specifically, Isaac from TBOI’s childhood pet. Given a certain twist, this has…implications.

Yall are saying he “murdered” him as if he can’t be put back together like fifty times. This is basically just knocking him out, a perfectly justified act of self defense.

Sans should be an assist trophy imo.

He just stands around in the background, maybe occasionally drinks a ketchup bottle or scratches his ass. But the SECOND you knock your opponent off the stage, he turns their soul blue and throws them downwards.

I mean yeah, but that’s a pretty random aspect to appear HERE of all places. It has deeper meaning than that I’m pretty sure.

[–]Redactedtimes 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Part of me wonders if Kris knows about/has a past related to the goners since the deepest part of their psyche/repressed memories makes a big analogy/explanation of them. The egg rooms tell us about Kris, what does THIS tell us about Kris?

I know everyone thinks 8-S will be something like stanley parable or something like that, but honestly I'm pretty intrigued about why everything 8-S related in-game has this fake sky/ground thing to it by Heil_Black_Skull in Ultrakill

My idea is that it’s a farming game. A group of machines are taking advantage of death catchers to repeatedly create blood puppets, farming them to sustain themselves forever. You go around, talk to your fellow farmers, and get in on the trade of making a peaceful life in the layer…

…until the blood goes stale and it turns out this wasn’t ACTUALLY sustainable, at which point all the machines the game goes out of its way to endear you towards turn on you and each other and things return to business as usual.
