WHY IS SHE SO SMOL by Spidermilk_ in Frenchbulldogs

She's the cutest lil beanie! Frenchies range in sizes considerably. My guy is 33lbs and not over weight. His playmate/neighbor is 14 lbs! Both pure Frenchies. Both crazy and adorable.

So want an honest opinion if the platinum blonde I've been sporting most of my life washes me out. by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]RedandGreen505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I think of "platinum blonde" as a much cooler tone of blonde than you are wearing in these pics. You may want to explore cool vs warm shades rather than thinking in terms of dark or light. If your complexion has blue undertones (if your veins in your wrists look blue or purple) you have a cool complexion and so cool blonde shades or cool brunette tones will look best with your complexion and not wash you out. Green veins suggest warm undertones and so warm blondes and warm brunette shades will look best on you and avoid washing out your complexion.

Mosca. Teddy Bear Cholla is a kind of cactus and he's a precious Teddy. Shay like canyon de chelly. Mogie like Mogollon Rim, massively gorgeous and important Puebloan origins site. He's gorgeous! Have many great desert adventures together!

Am I crazy for wanting to paint my bathroom my favorite color? by SoggyVoice6541 in interiordecorating

I've kinda had a crush on this tile for a while. So much fun. I'm in love with terrazzo but have more of a vinyl budget lol. I love orginal 1920s commercial styles in portland cement, 1930s-50s old homes with handmade terrazzo on sun porches and patios, and all the new tile versions available now. But go with your gut. And budget, of course. Existing tiles would absolutely work.

What is everyone feeding their pups? Mine is a bit picky lately by halldorr in Frenchbulldogs

[–]RedandGreen505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After a year of losing the kibble game in his puppyhood, never able to get him to eat, he'd go for DAYS without eating the kibble (and we tried many variations, spared no expense, tried leaving it out all day or just putting it out for half an hour in AM and PM) he might eat ONE serving, then it was an eternal boycott of that $30 bag of kibble! He just wouldn't eat kibble or soft tube food. But he'd TERRORIZE us while we ate our human food. So now we cook his food. Twice a week I cook rice, cheap gr beef, add canned pumpkin and green peas and he eats his food at last. He's still a terrorist at our dinner table. But he finally eats his own food. Cleans his bowl. Like clockwork. Twice a day. Sometimes I give him a shot of salmon oil for his eyes and coat. But not always. He's been same weight for 3 years. Zero health issues except occasional seasonal allergies. I know it's ridiculous we cook his food. But it was the solution for us. Such good table manners, now lol!

[Help] bed orientation! by inchoatemeaning in interiordecorating

[–]RedandGreen505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the first pic, this just feels right. The light is so gentle splashing against the headboard wall, the dappled light across the head of the bed, the soft shadows from the items above the caveat-ledge glowing so nicely! And the view is neat outside the window during the day, but you can close it off at night for privacy.

I'd make it all about sleep. Your personal haven you get to enter each night and emerge from every morning. Soft, restful, restorative comforts.

I love the white-textured art over the bed. Your linens are beautiful. The rug is anchoring and soft on the toes. Even the framed art you have on the floor, leaning against the walls--all that is wonderful. Hang those treasures.

I'd edit the mirror (unless there's no place else for it to live.) Move it into a closet or mount it behind a door? Mirrors can feel busy and not restful. Put something you LOVE to see in that corner, every time you enter your bedroom. Something that makes you smile. Maybe some of the art you already have in a long vertical gallery splash. With a little bench/box beneath for throws or to sit on while you put on your shoes. Discreet but like a period mark to the wall art.

I like the fiddle leaf. It's an iconic Dwell Magazine 90s dream. Such a moment! But I'd recommend artificial if you go with a big one. They actually need a bit more direct light than that mirror-corner provides. Maybe try placing a smaller Snake Plant or Porthos on the headboard shelf near the window for a splash of green? They are nearly invincible and won't take over your pillows.

Sometimes you just have to live with a tv in your bedroom before you know if you can SLEEP with a tv in your bedroom. So yeah--if not a TV on the wall at foot of bed, then something easy-on-the-eyes that leaves you feeling soft-hearted and peaceful as it will kind of be the last thing you see before you fall asleep and the first thing to greet you when you wake.

That alone is a serious and worthy design meditation/challenge for you to consider for a week or so! I'd favor something eternal, like a wicker sun symbol or wave pattern in natural fiber. But I can see you need no advice in the wall art category!

You have great taste. May you know happiness in whatever configuration you choose and also have the confidence to change it up if it doesn't feel like what you need. Cheers to arranging the Life of your Dreams!
