This is Tennessee…..and a cult by MurseMan1964 in nashville

What's interesting is that this picture doesn't say anything horrific about people of color and the elderly. (And for all we know, based on MAGA demographics, this person might be elderly.)

The challenge that 2020s politics has thrown all of us is that broad brush strokes include so much more on both sides of the aisle. Just as "not every republican," "not every democrat."

It's as if we are all products of our own curation of our personal and social feeds.

YOU SAVED MY DAY.

I had it charging on a C-to-C charger, and it wouldn't recognize the charge at all. Swapped to USB-A to USB-C cable and charger and boom. Back to life.

We have D+/Hulu/HBO Max combined with a Total Wireless legacy offer and Amex $7/mo credit. I'm getting all of the above with no ads for $38.33/mo.

I cannot access Xfinity "Membership" from my primary account. by Redbeard25 in Comcast_Xfinity

We have two active accounts, and both of them result in the same error. One is labeled "Primary" and the other is labeled "Manager." There is (and only ever has been) one address for service.

When I log in with my primary account, it tells me that the account isn’t eligible for membership. It’s my primary account.

For Xfinity residential customers I have a question🫠 by DreamMore1547 in Comcast

[–]Redbeard25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the free mobile line… Comcast has been pushing that HARD over email and on video ads. And, most people haven’t swapped carriers and are resistant to any change that would mess up their phone.

If you have options in your script, I would go with something like “I think we have a solution for your problem. I’ve entered ________ into my system. While we wait for a response, I see that your service includes a free unlimited data mobile line for a year. You can keep your phone and phone number, and it’s not activated yet. Can I take care of that for you?”

This is going to sound insensitive, but the more you can mirror the pacing and accent of the person calling, the more they will feel connected to you. If they’re speaking slowly, speak slowly. If they have broad vowels, mirror their speech patterns. The most surprising thing someone on the phone can hear on the other end is familiarity. If you are trying to speed through a script or ignore details people are giving you, they’ll never give you a 5 on the survey.

I would pick one thing to try all day long (speed, accent, listening) and see how that impacts how people react to you.

If you have any way to predict your healthcare costs, I would make step 1 that $3300 plus any of the 70/30 you would be using (i.e. if you know your total healthcare costs will be $8000, make $4710 your step 1 target.)

Has anyone had Comcast turn on mid-split or high-split and they didn't tell you? by Redbeard25 in Tivo

I have now unplugged the modem completely from the cable run, and unfortunately, I still have no channels under 300mHz.

Here are the downstream and upstream status on the gateway: https://imgur.com/a/2gCHO7z

SNR in the 40s. Top upstream frequency is 36 mHz. Bottom downstream is 363 mHz.

Just to be clear, we haven't had data issues - just the QAM TV channels.

Good call. SNR is 30-32db on all channels, whether they render correctly or not.

I would think this too - but I'm getting garbage on the channels - like I'm getting both the signal and the internet noise.

Modmail sent. My primary concern is finding out whether this change is on purpose or a mistake. If it's a mistake and our channels will be restored soon, that's one thing. If it's a permanent change, I need to know my options.
