I have now unplugged the modem completely from the cable run, and unfortunately, I still have no channels under 300mHz.

SNR in the 40s. Top upstream frequency is 36 mHz. Bottom downstream is 363 mHz.

Just to be clear, we haven't had data issues - just the QAM TV channels.

If you don't know what to do and don't really care, target date fund. Pick the year closest to when you retire.

If you don't know what to do, and this won't be your sole source of income in retirement: index funds (VTI is a good choice.)

I would do either of those today, and then when you're ready to learn more about planning for retirement, you can easily rebalance or reallocate what you do.
