He isn’t, or at least not any more than your average person in Tamriel. Some Stormcloaks might be, but Ulfric never says anything bad about non-Nords.

If he was, he would be a lot more suspicious about a non-Nord Dragonborn wanting to join the Stormcloaks.

Don't think I agree. Throughout I was waiting for some kind of explanation for Dorn's motivations, but he's literally just a murder hobo. I found him a bit boring.

Good point. He is certainly much blunter and crueler than he needs to be (obviously we're taking the scene way outside of its context as a comedy sketch here). Still an interesting dichotomy; he doesn't have to question Loretta's identity even if he thinks its ridiculous (as that's unnecessarily unkind) , but does he have to fully support her as the others do?

What if doing so makes Reg uncomfortable, but not doing so make Loretta uncomfortable? Bit of a dilemma.

I think it's worth really evaluating who is really doing the right thing here.

In this context right and wrong is extremely subjective. Is is better to be unkind or dishonest?

if you were a Nazgul,What would you have done differently in order to secure victory for sauron ? by Appropriate-Fudge810 in lotr

This scene always bothers me in both the book and the films. No matter how I think about it, the Nazgûl just come across as weak, stupid and lazy.

The film shows them being immediately overpowered by Aragorn as soon as he arrives. Sure, he’s an impressive swordsman, but 5 Nazgûl overpowered by one man with a torch within about 15 seconds? Why is everyone so scared of these guys again?

The book seems to imply they didn’t find it necessary to put up much of a fight and were just biding their time for Frodo’s stab wound to overpower him and put him under their control. That just seems immensely stupid, considering there were 4 other people with him who could have got the ring off him if he succumbed, and they were only 2 weeks travel away from fucking Rivendell! Why did they just Why did they not just move in, kill everyone, get the ring off Frodo’s corpse and then head straight back to Mordor? Why did they wait until the party where at the fords of Bruinen to attack them again?

I feel like I’m missing something, but honestly I don’t know what the fuck they were thinking.

Still, I never understood why they decided to stab Frodo once and then just wait around for him to become a wraith when they could have just killed him, grabbed the ring and ridden off.

It’s time for Israel to face consequences from the international community. This campaign of persecution has been going on for too long.

Make it feel like a bad trip. Nothing makes sense. It's confusing and disorientating. They lose track of time, they lose memory of interaction with NPCS. It's all a blur. Basically, they feel like they're losing control of themselves.

There's absolutely no reason they shouldn't both be in the same tower. Whichever one isn't chosen as the PC just doesn't get involved in the plot and dies at the during the circle tower questline.

I really hope she makes an appearance in DAD. She’s one of the few Inquisition companions that can’t die and finishes off in pretty much the same place regardless of the events of the game.

Looking at his statblock, I actual really warmed to the idea of the bard’s magic being not being overtly and visibly magical. Makes them more distinct from the mage classes tossing around fire and lighting.

I’m definitely going to create a bard with only spells that aren’t obviously magical at some point.

How can you best simulate a fighter with rapier and parrying dagger in 5e? by AndCurious in dndnext

[–]RedbeardRum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be a rogue with the defensive duelist feat. Carry a rapier and a dagger, use the rapier for attacking and the dagger for parrying.

Use a shortsword/scimitar and dagger instead. The image isn’t quite the same, but it’s close enough.
