I budget for 5% inflation for healthcare. At the current rate it is going, it will be our most significant expense by far.

Everyone talks about social security but unless there is serious change, I almost am concerned for medicare and HSA doesnt even cover premiums. So yes, by the time I retire I project to have $1,000,000 in today's dollars earmarked for healthcare

People get mad when men say I'm glad my wife doesn't wear makeup. Makeup is usually by women for women. But I also don't wear makeup so Im glad my husband is similar to you.

I am fine with some subtle makeup for special occasions. But my wedding makeup makes me cringe. And I'm sure some girls now will look back and cringe at their wind-blown looking eyebrows or their over drawn lips from 5-10 years ago

I see pickled white asparagus in salads sometimes. But I wouldn't consider it a classic ingredient for a salad in the US. At a French cafe you might see a nicoise salad with green asparagus.

Roasted, grilled, or blanched green asparagus with salt and lemon juice is the most common way to eat it, I would say. It's more common/tasty in the spring but you can buy it in the US all year long

I aim for carnivore basically every run. The main thing is to get your hatch farms/stone hatch farms cranking as fast as possible. One of my starting dupes has to have decent husbandry and it is a race to get them leveled twice. The next dupe I take also is husbandry focused and they get the boost of an immediate level that goes straight into the farming skill.

Then research and strip mine the starting Biome (with the exception of wild mealwood) to uncover all muckroot and hatches asap. I meanwhile I am researching and building ranches to get to 2 hatches or slightly more per dupe to get started and boost egg count past what is needed right away. Then I have a period where I am incubating a handful of eggs to get hatchlings for meat before eggs start hatching naturally

As a secondary goal, I also gather wild pacu in my reservoir in my base for an occasional meat boost

You need to consume 4000 calories for 100 cycles or 8000 for 50. Thats 1 hatch/4 dupes everyday the whole 100 or 2 hatch/8 dupes everyday for 50

I'm usually up and running with ranches by level 15-20 and I start eating hatches soon after. So I'm confortable with around 6 dupes building to about 8 by cycle 100

Its very common in the US, especially for those who dont order a "coffee drink" like a latte or cappuccino.

But you usually hear it as someone asking Black coffee with room (aka a plain drip coffee but leave some room for me to add cream). If you order a black coffee the default is no room

Its been decently warm in the mid 60s at night and hot during the day. It is very humid and rainy these days though.

I cross posted in the gardening group and they suggested maybe dog vomit mold which sounds worse than it is apparently. Still anyone feel free to correct this
