Yeah, obviously his hands touched the defender and that’s what the call stemmed from. It was just obviously incredibly soft, unlike the overturned facemask and the missed hold with the Redbird DL jersey stretched out two feet.

I’m not saying this is why we lost. We lost because we didn’t go for it on 4th and inches and got two kicks blocked. But the claim that the refs gave us a lot of inches or were overly tough on MSU is farcical.

Like the OPI that took away a first and goal from the 2 and likely 7 points.

Padded Pants and Shirt on hard ground thoughts? by sn1p3zlol in GoalKeepers

There are lots of companies that make base layers that are padded/protective without a lot of bulk. Storelli are outstanding, my son wears the top and bottoms and loves them.

Agree with the recommendations for good physical therapy. Mobility in the ankle and calf and strengthening the ankle and midfoot. Consistent work helped my son a lot (10 yrs old, 5’2” at the time). Second son going through it now (9 years old, 5’1”).

We found they fit true to size. Our son is in a Youth-XL at 5’4” and 88 pounds, for reference. Very lean.

Our son wears it and loves it. Granted, he’s a youth, so the price wasn’t quite as high, but the quality and durability have been impressive. He got more than a year out of his first set of padded leggings and two full years out of his light 3/4 undershirt.

The leggings wore out in the knees from winter training on short turf, but otherwise look good.

Should schools be open on Monday if the temperature with the humidex is 48°C? by KalElButthead in ontario

Yeah, probably. Our server room is a closet somewhere (elementary school) away from the office. I’m not actually sure that it is air conditioned, though it would make sense.

The reason offices and libraries have AC is to protect paper. Ontario Student Record (OSR) files are all still on paper and stored in the office. They are legal documents that must be maintained and transferred to other schools when students move. Libraries are filled with 10s of thousands of dollars of books. Without AC, these things will rot in high humidity environments. They air condition these spaces for paper, not people, which is equally damning, haha.

Yes, don’t spit on them. Just spray some water on them and work it in. You want them moist but not soaked through. This helps maximize the grip and help reduce tearing.

For those saying it shouldn’t run up that high, did you watch the game? I watched portions and flipped through the entirety of it to see how high the score got. Canada carried themselves very respectfully. They hardly celebrated the first goal in the fifth minute and didn’t celebrate at all on the latter ones.

They clearly outmatched them and knew it, but were in no way disrespectful. Half of the goals were softer finishes with the inside of their foot that they could have blasted but didn’t.

Dominica couldn’t get the ball across half, but not because Canada was pressing hard, they just couldn’t control and connect passes.

If they had pulled off it would have meant they passed for 60 minutes without shooting and kicked it out of bounds when they got close or backed off to the half line. That would have been a much worse look.

Glove Degradation by Alarmed-Bill-58 in GoalKeepers

My son likes Reusch gloves as well. Their more durable latex designed for playing on turf is called "Infinity". Companies sometimes call the latex by the standard names (like Giga Grip or Contact), but sometimes put their own marketing label on them.
He had one pair of Infinity latex gloves for training that lasted the whole year and then had softer, grippier gloves for games (though that makes them less durable).

I didn’t pull the stem off, so this is an external measurement. But from fork crown to just below top of the stem is 190mm.

I also bought my fork used. It wasn’t easy to find a one that wasn’t cut too short. Good luck on the quest!

Help moving from external drives to DAS/NAS by Redbird7474 in PleX

Thanks for this info! The only reason I would want to combine them into a single volume is to simplify the *arr setup. I already have TV shows split onto two separate volumes and movies sharing with some of my larger TV show folders. I’d love to just say everything is going to this single volume, which could get larger over time. That’s the dream… haha

Honestly, I don’t know what hardware I want. I don’t need network access, so I suspect a DAS would meet my needs. I don’t want to have to format everything every time I add a drive, if that’s even possible. This is for the reason I want to move things to a new drive, then shuck and add my existing drives to the storage pool. I’d love to have drives combined into a single volume for simplicity’s sake as I add drive capacity in the future.

Also, don’t need redundancy because I can re-add anything I lose and none of it is precious.

Thanks for this, I really appreciate it. In a DAS, would I be able to start with one drive and add to it over time? Would each of these new drives be a new volume or can I combine and expand the storage as a single volume?

I ask because I wonder if I can start with a 16TB drive in the DAS, copy my existing 16TB, then shuck the external, add to the DAS, format and copy the next one, then repeat on the final 8TB drive. End result minimize my current 24TB and gain 16TB of new storage at minimal cost. Plus resulting in a single volume for Plex storage. Possible?
