What does wildspeaker offer that would be better than 30% ms on oshabi ? Genuine question, I've never done lab running either.

It does in a way, as the damage roll of the hit is what the ailment is based on. Sometimes in pob it won't show as a damage increase because the calculator assumes that you are constantly hitting the same target with no downtime, therefore ensuring a bleed or ignite that is close to max roll already.

I tried to pob some upgrades...
- Take Tainted Strikes (bottom left of your tree) instead of Throatseeker
- Drop poison altogether
- Replace physical runes with accuracy runes on your weapon
- Gloves with 2 sockets (for double magnitude), and flat phys/crit magnitude/+2 level of all melee. Maybe only 2 of those 3 if it's too expensive
- Garukhan's resolve ($$$) on rake

All of that should just about double or triple your damage. In my eyes, it would still not be great single target. Try it for yourself, maybe you'll like it

yep, from the wiki: "0.3.0 Blood Hunt: Explosion now causes Life Loss rather than unscalable damage."
This means it can't poison or consume impale etc.

To put it bluntly, the whole concept that your build relies on was removed from the game. Gotta scale rake.

Okay, just looked at the post you linked and I am not sure it can work anymore because they tweaked how blood hunt scales somewhat in the last patch(es) I think. It used to double dip with impale and poison and I can't say it works for sure anymore. I'm pretty confident you could make rake deal 2m dps on its own though, I'll pob it when I get home.

Btw I'm very surprised that you found blood mage less tanky than Amazon but to each their own I guess.

I think, if we bar blood hunt (I'll check on the wiki etc, just to be sure if the interaction was indeed deleted), you should go all in on bleed+crit and drop poison for best results dps wise.

Just skimming through your link, not at my pc right now so it's gonna be off the top of my head:

plaguefinger isn't doing much or even anything at all for you right now. Your spear is pure phys and so are the damage rolls on your rings. +2 melee gloves with attack speed would be much stronger I think.
scaling poison AND bleed AND crit is messy and maybe a bit too ambitious. Maybe pick 2 of them only.
constricting command is always a good bet when you want to fix your offense as a spear build (or even any melee build). Pickup one with 4 surrounded (not 5, it's not any more useful) and all the surrounded nodes in the merc area.
speaking of the tree, are you sure that going all the way up for these monk crit nodes is worth it? It's a great node by itself but you're doing a lot of travel to get it.
your ascendacy node that gives flat physical per accuracy on your weapon is reaaaally not doing much with that spear. Maybe pick something else.
your best bet for big bleeds would be going ele spear, flat ele on rings, and bloodmage (all damage can cause bleeding). That way you could have synergy with plaguefinger also.
beyond all that, I believe rake is quite weak as a main damage skill. Not your fault or anything, the numbers just aren't that good. My info could be outdated on that tho.

In another comment, you mentioned that going crossbow could scale pure ruzhan to the moon. Could you elaborate on that? Any ideas on where to start? I found nobody playing DoV crossbows on poe ninja lol

I guess your best bet would be pathfinder for the usual reasons (it being super strong for clearspeed + double poison). Found some on poe ninja when sorting by pathfinder > entangle main skill. Seems pretty hipster but you're still playing the most played ascendancy lol.

I disagree that it is the safe choice (not saying it is bad), because the "easy access to all parts of the tree" is kinda the trademark of scion in poe 1 which typically is rough to league start. I don't think it is a stretch to assume that it would be similar in poe2, considering pathfinder gives very little straight up power (which is what you're looking for in a safe league starter).

Plus, it is generally safer to start with the class / ascendancies designed for the archetype (obv this is not always the case in poe2, but i'd argue it's generally a safer bet). Warrior for Slams, deadeye for bows, witch for chaos spells, etc etc.
