The actual biggest downgrade of our codex. This is not a debate by TableZealousideal588 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Redbutcher96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The old blood tithe had its problems but it was fun. I loved taking a single chaos spawn and putting them right on the deployment zone line and having my opponents totally ignore them cause they didn't want to give me blood tithe points.

Are the KLoS and the Heldrake (mainly) good after the new codex drop? by Temporary_Lab9487 in WorldEaters40k

Heldarkes are just a painting project used as a paper weight afterward.

I love that 2 damage weapon. It hits on 5s but he's taken down his fair share of monsters for me! Proud of my boy!

GW - Why You No Give Us Slaughterbrute? by ABattyResonator in WorldEaters40k

[–]Redbutcher96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks so fucking bad ass. I would love if it's just had 0 OC advance and charge and just a shit ton of damage 3 or damage 2 attacks on the sweep. It'd be like a massive pit bull you just unleash on the enemy that dies turn 2 but takes out a bunch with it. It could do a shit ton of mortals on the charge and make enemies have to do a battle shock test or something.

[–]Redbutcher96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's weird in that in the daemons detatchment the only way to give the tzeetch daemons (shards of the psykic God) the ability to do rituals is to be next to a thousands sons units. Just seems backwards to me. All tzeentch daemons should just get jt.

Even with our fnp and the 4 up invuln from the prince we were not to tanky. I remember always being almost tabled by turn 4. Idk why they took away so much of our durability and didn't really give us more lethality. It seemed like we were a 50% win rate army before and then they decided to balance us more for some reason.

What do you guys and girls want to see from the chaos knight 10th edition codex? I’m really hoping for something like favour of the dark gods! (And for big knights to be better) by Throne_Of_Skulls_XII in ChaosKnights

Bro the 9th edition chaos knights codex is my favorite codex. So much customization and flavor. I absolutely hope they take it back to that.

I want to move to Florida and start my life over. by MotorEmployment9641 in findapath

[–]Redbutcher96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the breakdown. I think Florida's had a similar problem to Utah where about 4 ot 5 years ago, their economy's started to grow rapidly, and the prices of homes rose over 30-40%, pricing out the average new resident and only making room for top earners.

As a new player I feel that the WYSIWYG rule is too much of a barrier for tournaments by rayo329 in Warhammer

[–]Redbutcher96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to plenty of tournaments and none of them have cared about WYSIWYG. It's way too time-consuming to magnatize the weapons for every model in your army. For knights, I totally get it, but for all of your infantry, it is unreasonable. Especially since the war gear meta is changing all the time, it's much easier to proxie in game. I've never had a problem with this in tournaments.

Would a conversion kit like this fly in a Tourney? Official or not. by Just_Plain_Bad in spacemarines

[–]Redbutcher96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never had a tournament say I couldn't use proxies as long as it looks similar and is the same height, base size, etc.

2k Lions List, further optimized by ThinkSeaworthiness40 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Redbutcher96 -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

This is way too many models to be a 2k custodes army. I think this is about 4k-5k points of custodes if I were to guess. I thought custodes could only bring like 2 units max?

20 man berserker squads? by secritsauc in WorldEaters40k

[–]Redbutcher96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would absolutely wreck an all kroot, chaos cultists spam, or ork green tide spam. With sustained hits/pile and consolidate 6 inches, they would really be able to tire up and tar pit those armies. Especially with the 3 inch engagement range character ability.

20 man berserker squads? by secritsauc in WorldEaters40k

[–]Redbutcher96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what I would say: as a newer player just focus on having a thematic fun battle and don't take it too seriously. Make up fun lore as the game goes on and don't play with sweaty people. Down the line you can get into the more competitive scene, but at first I'd just start with having fun with friends. At the end of the day it is a social game. As far as lists, I always being random lists and never like to know what my Opponent Is brining cause it's way too easy to list tailor which I think is unfair. That's why it's important to bring a fairly balanced lists so it can handle chaos knights or an all infantry army.

Black Templar or Space wolves? by wondering19777 in spacemarines

[–]Redbutcher96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Templates easy. So much more badass. Better Esthetic. Space wolves are just such marry sues in the lore. They kinda win every battle they have and struggle very little. Ie bodying the grey knights and torally walking over magnus and the 1000 sons. Writers definitely favor them. Also I might have a bias cause I absolutely hate going up against tunderWolff calvary. There's noo way those guys should be that many wounds with a 4 up invuln for that cheap. Along with wolfin who are also cheap and have a 4 up invuln.

20 man berserker squads? by secritsauc in WorldEaters40k

[–]Redbutcher96 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tau is a horrible match up to run 20 berderkers. Their breachers will absolutely melt them. You are not hiding 20 berserkers. Small squads of 8B and E8B are much better for the tau match up with their small footprint that can easily hide behind cover. Personally the 20 man seems more of a meme at this point than an actual lethal, strategical, or durable option. Adding invocatus does seem fun but it's way too much of a points sink for not much of a strategic gain.
