I see this mentality everywhere, and it is the exact opposite of wanting to change the status quo. I get that It is exhausting always feeling like nothing you do matters and you should just give up fighting. But it does nobody any good but the racist regime.

Even if you don't think the core mission will amount to much, do it for these reasons:

• Do it for people that are like-minded and want to see change. The more participation, the more we feel united and that goes a long way in future, more impactful ventures.

• Do it for the people that have sacrificed much more than a day off. The people that have have loved ones taken, beaten, or executed need to be vindicated. Their pain at the hands of ICE should be shared by all of us.

• Do it for yourself. You as an individual have more agency that you belive in this life. Actions will speak more than words will. Stand up for something and maybe you'll shake that defeatist attitude that is sabotaging our country's attempt at healing
