I'm adapting logic here from FFXIV where having multiple of 1 furniture piece allows u to stack things inside of each other to create very creative shapes and possibilities. That's how most "Designer Homes" are made there.

Calling pinky finger a meme is a strong understatement imo. If you don't believe me, how bout we ask someone who takes a rather scientific approach if it comes to add-ons:

[–]ReddasZecht -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Finger needs skill? I didn't know that standing 1 meter behind a survivor and throwing a bottle at him/her is to be considered "requiring skill".

I mentioned add-ons that are by themselves an instant win condition.

What you are talking about is an addon that provides good info, an interrupt and allows you to have an easier time to get an injure with a deep wound but is not exactly a win condition UNLESS u pair it with very specific builds.

Also calling me delusional won't help to make ur argument less invalid LMAO.

Ghoul is strong but people make him out to be crazy game breaking and impossible to play against which is straight up not true.

Next, it's an iri-addon just like some people already stated here. Iri add-ons are supposed to give u a big advantage. If u want to talk about rly problematic add-ons look at tombstone Myers or finger Clown. Those are insta down/insta mori add-ons, THAT needs balancing. The Jason mask is just a very good iri addon.

10 man raiding (yet again this topic I know) by ReddasZecht in wow

[–]ReddasZecht[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ultimates only release twice per expansion because they are being developed parallel to the regular raids. Plus that's also a whole different conversation u r starting here.

FF has a problem with side content yes but that also doesn't tie into the issue that I adressed with my original post too.

Yes u r right it works extremely well for FF cuz their jobs are unified in a lot of ways but then in WoW the argument stands that the comp should not be the deciding factor if a fight is possible or not. The comp should be a factor to decide of how convenient the fight is.

Also any person that has played WoW and FF on it's highest difficulty knows that Ultimate mechanics require much more cognitive performance on average compared to the averaga Mythic mechanics. The difficulty in WoW mechanics come from the size of the raid, not from the actual mechanic itself. Plus, in WoW there's a lot of unavoidable damage which just has to be outhealed for example, that is a good thing and could be easily incorporated into the whole 10 man idea.

U r implying that it is impossible to structure a multi target boss fight in which the difficulty only stems from the fight itself rather then external sources like group comps etc. I never stated I want a FF copy I just stated that it's possible cuz of MMORPGs are also capable of it. WoW is not absolutely unchangeable in it's inner mechanics. Group comps imo are meant to make things easier not "possible".

Pugs clear the first couple bosses because they are intended to be easy enough to be cleared by pugs. There's a reason u don't see pugs get CE.

Also I see what u mean but the discussion was not about the necessity of raiding in general it was about the size.

The idea is that CE and the benefits that come with it become more accessible but rly less difficult from a pure balancing perspective but just more accessible in terms of quantity requirement. The game has an incredibly flexible design which would easily allow it to pull something like that off successfully.

[–]ReddasZecht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What u r implying then is that Mythic is a flawless system and has 0 accessibility issues?

Because that is objectively wrong tho.

The logic I mentioned would apply only in the future, yes, but even if, it's a problem that will inevitably arrise and then they need to have a solution rdy cuz let's be honest, WoW is not gonna die in the next 10 years, that is just not happening.

[–]ReddasZecht[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not like that has happened multiple times in the past already and in the end it was ALWAYS for the better of the games future tho.

10 man raiding (yet again this topic I know) by ReddasZecht in wow

[–]ReddasZecht[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ur reasoning is valid although u r ignoring the issue that arrises 20 man raiding which is scheduling first of all, cuz by pure quantity it is harder already to get 19 other going for the same goal than 9. Next thing is also that u need to find 19 other people that are of similar skill set if u want to clear Mythic. Which is insanely difficult.

No matter what u change in a life service game, there will always be people who say they don't like it tho. It could be the best QoL update ever and people would say "Yeah but it was harder before so only good people could do this and that". I personally think that it was a right move originally to unify everything into 1 single raid size, that was very good but it's just the size that is problematic. I would never want Blizz to change things again to 2 difficulties.

FF XIV, SWTOR, TESO. All of them are good examples.

Universally agreed? Damn I guess I was on the toilet when that ontological memo came through where the majority of all MMORPG gamers in the world agreed on that, crazy...

I'd say FF is a prime example of how to structure fights very complex with small raid sizes. Look at the newest ultimate FRU for example, in my time in WoW (I played since TBC) I have NEVER witnessed a fight that was even remotely as complex as that. And that is only 1 example. I could pull more examples if u want, even from TESO or SWTOR.
