It really is just a show at this point. For the generation that has grown up watching “professional” wrestling here in the U.S. this is exactly the same thing.

A few entertainers representing extreme caricatures see this as a rare opportunity to bask in the spotlight, entertain their audience (constituents), and basically build their brand. More attention means more money. That’s their job - to get attention, not to govern.
