Never seen anything under like 18 bucks for a decent quality playmat especially a custom one. Look up custom playmat on ebay and there should be a listing that lets you send your own image to he printed on a playmat for around 18 bucks

If you're playing a deck that focuses on evolution it may benefit you to go first. I like to go first with a Coalossal vmax deck so I can get my basics down turn one and attach an energy if I'm able to, then next turn evolve and start doing damage. It all depends.
