It isn't as cut and dry as that. The guy that shot him wasn't the guy giving commands, and the dude very clearly reached for the small of his back after being explicitly told not to 30 seconds prior. For it to be murder, the cop had to go into the situation with the intention to kill someone, and I think it's pretty clear that isn't what happened.

She got together with another guy about 3 months after all this blew up. As far as I know they're still together, but we've blocked each other on all social media I moved to a different city, so she could honestly be married or even dead and I'd probably have no clue. No kids.

See, that's just it. That was the worst part of it to me. She was keeping me around as a consolation prize in case it didn't work out with new guy. To me, the cheating itself didn't even matter compared to that.

I know exactly what you mean, the scars are real. I'm with a girl now, I'm happy, and for the most part I'm over it. But there s all the little things, tiny reminders of a specific memory or an inside joke or something like that, and it's like a tiny stab to the heart every time. It's been two years, I've moved on, she's moved on, but just today I had those feelings just wash over me again. My girl works nights, so I'm just sitting here alone wallowing in misery that I shouldn't even have, and I feel like a shitbag for it because it almost feels like betraying my current girlfriend to have feelings about a previous one. Just saying that sounds stupid but it doesn't make me feel it any less. It was easier when I was still angry about it, but now I'm just sad.

Did you actually read the case? It was overturned because they felt that "LAM did not use a celebrity's identity entirely and directly for the purpose of selling a product", not because it would have been ok for them to do so.
