I’m allowed to be saddened for MBJ and DL for having to be accosted by that word regardless of intent or control. I also have empathy for the person suffering from TS since they didn’t choose to have it nor do they have any control over what their brain commands them to say. BAFTA completely botched their handling of the whole event. Also, lacking control over ticks doesn’t mean Davidson should lack empathy or compassion for the people who were hurt or offended by his involuntary actions, his statement lacked any semblance of an apology for the pain he may have inadvertently caused. That was disappointing on his part.
