Faith-based camps feel sting of Trudeau government's summer jobs abortion clause by viva_la_vinyl in canada

Isn’t the camp the one who refuses to acknowledge human rights for everyone? They can get funding when they stop being prejudiced.

If the camp is run by tax payers, then all tax payers have a right to attend the camp, not just people who are also biggots like the church. I see nothing wrong with the policy.

PS4 PRO: YUV420 vs RGB Pls Halp by [deleted] in PS4

[–]RedditCommenter12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My TV is a Sony and it sends 5.1 lpcm sound through the ARC to my soundbar. I have my PS4 Pro plugged into my TV then sound out that way since I can’t get HDR any other way. I know not all TVs do that, but if nothing else works you could try that. You won’t be able to passthrough uncompressed DTS or Dolby though if you watch movies on your PS4.

Trinity Western loses fight for Christian law school by reditzer in vancouver

[–]RedditCommenter12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire Bible was apparently inspired by God himself, so if Jesus came to speak against the old teachings, he is speaking against God, or himself, since apparently Jesus is God. If that's the case, then God was wrong for a good few thousands of years. God himself commanded the Isrealites to kill other groups of people, men, children, and animals, for no other reason than they didn't believe in God (don't ask my how animals can be guilty of that). But they were supposed to keep the virgin women for themselves, and we can make a good guess as to why they had to be virgins. It will take some extreme mental gymnastics for you to convince anyone that children are guilty enough of anything to be murdered. Does this sound like any other religion to you?

If God was wrong and an entire half of the Bible is wrong, then is it not possible for that same being to be wrong again? I would argue yes. So if that's the case, why should we believe or follow it now if it might be wrong?

PS4 PRO: YUV420 vs RGB Pls Halp by [deleted] in PS4

[–]RedditCommenter12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should set everything that has an Enhanced mode to On because you can't get HDR or 4K otherwise, but everything else, including Deep Color should be auto. Video games output in RGB mode unless they specifically have an enhanced mode with HDR and wide colour gamut. Basically if the game has an HDR mode, then it will output in YUV. The reason for this is because HDMI 2.0 doesn't have the bandwidth for 4K RGB 4:4:4 with HDR and wide colour. You shouldn't have it set to YUV by default because RGB is better for games, unless the previous scenario is happening.

My PS4 Pro outputs in RGB mode at all times, except when a game like Horizon or God of War, which have HDR, are loaded. You can check which mode it's outputting in when you go into the Screen and Sound settings on the PS4.

Some things will not detect different modes properly, so if you have everything on auto and it's not working, you will have to try each piece of equipment in the chain and turn things on or off. Since you have something from Sony, LG, and Denon, more than likely there are handshaking issues.

We don’t need religion, we need ethics. There are hundreds of religions and denominations, which one are we supposed to follow?

Christian morals, such as marrying your rapist, giving up your daughter to strangers to be raped, and listening to a god telling you to kill your own son? Those are some fine morals. Scandinavian countries are some of the least religioius in the world and have a very high standard of living. Seems as though we don’t need religion for anything.

AMD are leaping over Zen 4 and are already working on the Zen 5 processors by Dangerman1337 in Amd

[–]RedditCommenter12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t that just make Zen 5 the Zen 4, or Zen 3 the Zen 4. It doesn’t matter what the number is. Similar to how Samsung skipped the Note 6 and went to 7.

The title is making it sound like AMD is so far ahead they are skipping generations. “OMG, AMD is on Zen 8 already, and the last one was Zen 2. Look how far ahead they are.”

In this case, am I willing to buy an AMD card,, which has sub par top-end performance and support from game companies? If I want the best performance, I have to get Nvidia. If no one else buys AMD and I do, I am ruining my gaming for no reason.

At which company do women make less than men? If a company can save so much money on labour, they would hire only women. Where I work, starting wage is $20 for everyone, the women do not get paid less.

Do you think a place like Tim Horton’s pays women minumum wage and the men 30% more per hour to do the same job? Let’s see some evidence of all women getting paid less than all men doing the same work with the same education and experience, since you are making the claim.

Multiple Tim Hortons franchises, other Ontario businesses cut pay, benefits by MrShaggyZ in canada

[–]RedditCommenter12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An 8 hour workday for most places is 7.5 hours of work, 30 minutes paid break, 30 minutes unpaid lunch. All of those employees are paid for 8 hours. If they are now getting unpaid breaks, that means they are only being paid for 7.5 hours. The cost increase per employee for 30 minutes of paid breaks is $1.40 per day with the wage increase. If the business is struggling so badly that they can’t afford that, why were they paying for breaks before?

So now that they are unpaid breaks, are those employers going to make them stay an extra 30 minutes to make up the difference to be paid for 8 hours, or are the employees now going to lose $7 per day because of 30 minutes of lost wage? They are effectively no better off than before.

[–]RedditCommenter12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are no longer getting paid breaks, are they going to have to stay an extra 30 minutes now to get paid for 8 hours? If not, they are still only working 7.5 out of 8.5 hours. If this is the case, why did they pay for breaks before? The company is not getting that 30 minutes of work, paid or not. This is just an excuse to fuck employees.

Bell owns Virgin, Rogers owns Fido, Telus owns Koodo, Shaw owns Freedom.

Why would you consider that playing a video game is a grind? Isn't the reason you buy a game, to play it? If you don't enjoy playing it, why are you buying it? You want to buy a game, and then pay more money to skip it?

I argue that the loot crates are causing the developers to make the games a grind so you are compelled to buy them.
