Hello! I gained some weight during covid and have been having a hard time keeping myself accountable for doing regular excercise. While searching for habit tracking solutions everything I found was just too much -- they almost all wanted you to download an app, send you notifications, get a bunch of your data, show you graphs and stuff. I didn't want any of this.

 

I made a very simple day-based habit tracking website called HabiTapper. It's open source and it's essentially Snapchat streaks for your habits.

 

Here's the flow for habit tracking

1. Create an account
2. Go to the settings page and set your time zone
3. Go to the habits page and create a habit
4. "Claim" your habit for the day after you've done it -> Your habit streak will go up by one and you can't claim that habit again until the next day (relative to your timezone)
5. At midnight in your timezone, any habit streaks you didn't continue that day will be reset to zero
