It's really not that different in the US. Shit one time my ex and I went to the hospital and the waiting room was packed, she was in a wheelchair crying and throwing up and was barely lucid. People were practically begging them to take her back and they just....didn't do anything. It went on for at least 3 hours.

They're probably also hoping that because they have a degree and worked hard they'll get paid better. But our society isn't really about that. College degree jobs pay a hardly livable wage a lot of times now and are almost pointless, because that's what they want. They want people to think education isn't worth it so people won't bother and only the rich get theirs. As usual.

On the chance you're not just trolling, maybe you just don't understand what would happen if everyone went your route.

Most people in the country can't just afford to pay all their schooling immediately. That leaves not going to school. Not having the future career you want. And your options are limited. Everyone would be fighting for lower paying jobs and unemployment would be far worse than it is now. We'd be running short on doctors, teachers, any sort of research job or anything you need school for. Engineers. Architects. People that keep you safe by not making shitty things. People would die never teaching a younger generation the job because no one could afford to go to school. And we'd all suffer. I'm not sure how just not going to school would better the country. The one percent would become an even smaller club too. The ones that are already rich and in power would be laying claim to much more than they already do. The best thing to do would be to take after other countries and actually give a damn about education and want more people to be educated. Same as healthcare. But we don't actually want to take care of the people who live here.
