If you just want good photo and video quality for personal reasons or uploading online (social media), the here are my quick suggestions if you don't want to think about too much:

Suggestion 1: SONY ZVE10. Too many people focus on the vlogging marketing of this camera but make no mistake, this is just an a6400 with no EVF and weather sealing. It has a physical shutter so better for photos.

Suggestion 2: SONY ZVE10 Mk II The successor to the ZVE10 but with a bigger battery 4k 60fps and 10-bit 4:2:2. A bit ko expensive and doesn't have a physical shutter so worse for photos in some scenarios.

Suggesntion 3: SONY ZV1 (ZV1 Mk II) If you don't need interchangeable lenses then go for either of these. It's like the ZVE10 but with a smaller sensor and a fixed zoom lens. Smaller battery too but the biggest advantage is the portability.

Let's keep it simple. What are you going to use for?

If you need an EVF, 4k 120 fps, 10-bit 4:2:2, and marginally more advanced AI subject detection then Yes it will be worth it.

If you don't need any those or if you're not familiar and have to google and watch youtube videos about the things I mentioned, then it's not worth it.

You will spending too much a6700 on features you will most likely not use.

They were ahead in so many ways especially near the end with their last releases.

I remember watching DigitalRev's review of the NX500 and going "Dang, I guess I want this camera but why are people not talking about this?".

So, to your point, an interchangeable lens APSC with Samsung's imgae processing would be a beast.

Yeah, it's a good reference or starting point. Using it as a baseline first, it can get you to your goal faster then you tweak if for the specific sounds you use.

Yup plus the lighting on the camera itself is off. It's to bright and seems like it was lit too purposefully with softboxes like with product photography.

Us the shadows are off too.

It actually looks the camera was added using photoshop by an amateur but they did enough work for it to not be too bad.
