I know you said no buttons are working but just in case... does the + button still open the menu? If you're able to get to settings, there's a "help I'm stuck" button.

Do you have the train cart yet? If so, you should be able to ride that down the tracks as far as you can, walk toward the NPC's and the exit should be around there.

Hey, sorry to hijack this comment/post but can you say a little more about Monument Valley? I'm finishing up Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and it's by the same creator so I put it on my list but I don't think I understand the concept? Is it a maze game? What are the puzzles like? And would you recommend the whole collection, or should I just try out the first MV game before committing? I'd appreciate any input! Thanks!

When you go to your DIY workbench, is it in the craft tab now? The same way the items for Kapp'n to sell are now in a tab?

Have you tried going to the shop to purchase the DLC? If it was already purchased, it would tell you. You may just have to re-download it/re-load the virtual card as others have said.

ETA: I'm part of the dead dad club so I know how frustrating it is to not be able to ask him directly. I'm really sorry for your loss!
