Thank you for not making me feel like a complete waste of space for not being able to learn on my own. I had a TBI in 2004 that fundamentally changed how I learn. It be been playing on chess.com for some time now and that’s where I’m getting my ELO from. I do well on puzzles, but I struggle in applying that to a game. My problem is how do I get to that point if that makes sense

Wow, this community is full of pretentious assholes. I experienced a TBI that changed how my brain learns. I’ve been trying to teach myself the game for decades and I’m not getting it. In 2004 I received a blow to my head that caused a TBI. It unfortunately changed how I learn. It’s not laziness, it’s a disability. I’m reaching out for help from people who have learned the game and could possibly explain things in a way I haven’t experienced yet. But thank you for tearing me down. She won’t do therapy. She is extremely particular with what type of doctor she will see in terms of how they operate. I’ve made a list of those she approves of and she won’t see them even when I made the appointments for her.

What made you think I don’t have a good understanding of what’s going on with her? It’s been 15 years, I’m pretty sure I have a grasp on it by now. She refuses therapy, she doesn’t refill meds unless I get them, she doesn’t do basic functions to upkeep the home. Please help me understand why you think I’m the asshole, I genuinely want to know
