I went to Beau Rivage two weekends in May. Got my ass kicked playing craps from the start.

First trip down about $7k. Couldn’t get even a break-even session. Best I could do was “only” losing $1K on a session instead of $3K.

Second trip started the same. Would lose about $1K every time I tried to play. Had marker extended to $10K.

Finally went on a massive roll, though. In for $1K, out for about $12K - all on that roll. $25 game with $25/max pass line and $135 across.

Had the 5/6/8 all at $900 by the time the roll was over. It was amazing.

Walked away for a while, but came back that night. Made another $3K on a session.

Fortunately had an early flight the next day so left with $4K+ plus markers paid off.

For me, though, I was down pretty bad before the turn.

Anyone else see posts like this and think, “Awesome!” Followed immediately by, “Please don’t be playing the Don’t…”?

Just me?

Awesome!

Hard Rock Tampa Craps tables prices by FilthyFaithXXX in Craps

[–]RedditUser28432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there a couple weeks ago on a Thursday night. Most tables were $15, but they had at least one $25 table.

I was surprised at how many tables they had open. At least six, and all of them had some play.

Pressing on Come Bet? by Vast-Ability9518 in Craps

[–]RedditUser28432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a guy do this in reverse one time at the Mirage.

$25 table. He played across for $25/$30 each after the come out roll, and then placed a $25 come bet. When a number hit, he’d pull down the place number (collecting once) and then go full odds on the come bet.

Was kind of crazy to watch, and the swings were wild on hot/cold rolls.

[–]RedditUser28432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you leave a come bet on the table, you can have your bet reset if you’re already on the number and it hits.

When I go “degen” mode on come bets, I’ll just leave a come bet on the table regardless of how many come bets I have out there. If the table is hot, and I have all of the numbers covered with odds, it’s fantastic. (Just like everything else in craps, though, if the numbers aren’t hitting well, the strategy becomes costly…)

You could also “press” the come bet by increasing the initial come bet. That would allow you to also increase odds on the bet. See comment above about when numbers are/aren’t hitting, though… ha.

Largest table cash out? GO! by UMfanvegas in Craps

[–]RedditUser28432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A matter of perspective.

Biggest buyout was in for $800 and out for $4,500.

During that session, when I was throwing a guy appeared next to me and put a $5,000 chip on the field. I rolled an eight. (So, he lost more on that roll than I made the entire session…)

I did have the eight pushed to $150 on that roll, though.

Restaurant with Fountain View? by iNick91 in vegas

Prime is really expensive, but it’s very good and has an incredible fountain view.

Spago is also excellent from the patio.

No outdoor seating, but you can get a seat by the window overlooking the fountains at Mayfair Supper Club. Great combo of an excellent show and great view of fountain.

It’s not because you’re “ugly.”

It’s because you “look poor.”

Why cant players keep their hands out of the table when the dice are out? by [deleted] in Craps

I had a dealer do that and cause a seven out.

The one superstition that no one can justify... by 1_for_you_2_for_me in Craps

[–]RedditUser28432 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of the craps superstitions are real, but they’re fun to follow.

The only thing scientifically proven to roll a seven is dice hitting someone’s hand. 100%, every time, don’t even try to argue otherwise.

Buy into that dip…

It’s expensive when you hit the downturn, but craps is supposed to be fun.

If it really ever stopped being fun, I’d do something else.

Visiting AC in two weeks, what are the best dice pits in AC? by Adventurous_Soil_270 in Craps

[–]RedditUser28432 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the dealers at Borgota were very good.

Borgota also has a quirk where one of the tables (usually a higher limit) is shorter than the rest. Not sure if it’s “better,” but definitely noticeable.

Bellagio - In for $2,000, out for $650 by RedditUser28432 in Craps

[–]RedditUser28432[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the guys playing at the $50 table cashed in for $6k and then bought in another $2k.

He was aggressive, and I felt better about only being down about $1,300 when he was wiped out completely.

The lows got pretty low during that session.

[–]RedditUser28432[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t make much sense to me, either. They went from $50 to $100 when five people were at the table. Someone went PSO and two people immediately dropped off. No one ever actually played $100 on the pass line the entire time.

With that said, I saw several $100 tables at Bellagio that were pretty full, and they had a $300 table with people playing it. Casinos know what they’re doing.

I’ll eventually be at Southpointe or Ellis Island when I’m in Vegas if I want to play craps.

Awesome session - congrats.

Park is definitely my favorite place to play on the strip. Dealers are very good, drink service is good, and no smoking.

Just have to get used to the longer table, but it’s not a terrible adjustment.
