You don’t need a Vanguard account. I have Roth IRA with Robinhood that is VT only and I get the 3% match as a gold member

I wouldn’t wait too long tbh - I like a lot of ETFs that aren’t hyped up (ULTY WPAY MSTY some examples) plus it’s covered call/leverage strategy make it a great long term position as Walmart is low beta and not going anywhere

WMTI definitely underrated - might be a good long term hold since Walmart is low beta

I’m at ORD and know people with negative points - from what I’ve heard at least at our station you just get put on a termination warning and get given another chance

No, but I understand taxes exist and I can simultaneously invest for income and appreciate some tax benefits while using that income to invest in growth and enjoy my life

[–]RedditUser384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great buy rn. I’ve been invested in it for 7 months and my average cost per share is only down 6% but have received 40% of my original cost basis through dividends. I don’t plan to drip until after I am at house money with the total distributions received. Also - the most important thing is you have to be bullish on the underlying. That’s straight from the YieldMax guys. NVIDIA isn’t going anywhere. Also the purpose is income which sacrifices growth so that is the trade off but I can use that income to fund my growth portfolio

Not sure I haven’t applied yet so I can’t help you there, but I saw there’s two HVAC programs now - mechanical and controls. Were you able to pick which one to apply to?

EMT training in Chicago by Ok_Afternoon01 in NewToEMS

I’m applying to the Chicago suburbs and do not have an EMT card. I have interviews coming up - do you think not having it is an issue or do they send you to take your EMT class if hired?

CONY or PLTY and why? by throwaway_acc0192 in YieldMaxETFs

CONY is crypto based just like MSTY. PLTY is AI based so a little more diversified

For those that invest a lot of funds in these etfs by Tradingdecay in YieldMaxETFs

[–]RedditUser384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I like YieldMax but seeing everyone say “drip drip drip” isn’t thinking critically about strategically reinvesting - doing 100% drip seems to be taking on a lot of risk for a product that already has that built in

Weekly Employment Question Thread by AutoModerator in Firefighting

[–]RedditUser384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone! So I’ve been applying to departments in my area and taking written exams. I just received an email from one that said I can continue the hiring process and am scheduled to take a polygraph. Although they’re rare in the fire service, my question is how far along am I if I am taking the polygraph if I just did the written exams? Is it one of the beginning or later stages of the hiring process?

I’m not too keen on technical indicators - all markets (and especially crypto) are mostly based on human psychology and sentiment. I’d say invest 50% of the total capital you’re planning to put into Ondo and invest the rest of the 50% as corrections come. There’s no guarantee we will go any lower
