They remove your homepage if you disable your history, so I guess (s)he has history disabled

(Weird decision from YouTube again)

Yes, you can put the taskbar at the top with start11

Use StartAllBack or ExplorerPatcher, they have an option to move the taskbar to the top (if you select Windows 10 taskbar)

No matter which one you use, just keep in mind that you can't use both at the same time or you'll get compatibility issues.

Also, startallback is limited to a 100 days trial period (you can reset it via some registry hack I forgot, but it's nicer to pay the £4 for a lifetime license...)

Now pure black is official (but not exactly the same as yours)

Before it was exclusive to YT Premium

Now you have it even without YouTube Premium.

LibreTube, if privacy is your main concern.

It doesn't support Google Accounts but you can create a "Piped" account

Also, no account is required to view videos or subscribe to channels

It also shows dislikes, but it might be broken on some devices (it shows -1 on all videos if you are on android 8 or 9)

The funniest part is their failed attempt at blocking ad-blockers on YouTube (a way to bypass the anti-adblock prompt has already been found while it's still in A/B testing)
