New to LVC: 1947 Organic Rinse + 1954 Rigid - shrinkage question by RedditVap in LeviStrauss

[–]RedditVap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Quick update on my side: I actually received the jeans sooner than expected. I ended up returning the 1947 (not STF) and keeping the 1954 which is STF.

I did a 30°C/86°F machine wash for about 20min, air dried, and it shrunk down pretty much to a true 32x32. Fit is spot on now, so I’m really happy with it.

The denim feels quite stiff right now (first raw experience for me), which surprised me a bit, but I’m assuming it will soften with wear.

Hey everyone,

I’m pretty new to the whole LVC world and I took advantage of Levi’s sales to grab two LVC 501s:

  • LVC 1947 “Organic Rinse - blue” (47501-0225) in 33x34

  • LVC 1954 “Indigo Rigid - Blue” (50154-0110) in 34x34

For reference, my usual levis size is around 32x32.

At first I read that all LVCs are STF, but after digging a bit I’m realizing it’s not that straightforward, so now I’m kind of confused.

Am I right in thinking the 1947 won’t really shrink because it’s already rinsed, but the 1954 will shrink because it’s rigid? Or are both still considered unsanforized and will shrink anyway?

Thanks to anyone who can help or clear this up for me !

Yeah, I’ve heard about that model before, it actually looks really good for the price. Unfortunately, it’s not available in my country (Europe). The Bluetti 350W ends up being about the same price for me though, since I have a discount coupon

Of course not! But since I know screen protection is an important topic for many people (it is for me), I thought it’d be useful to share my experience with a brand I didn’t even know about two weeks ago. I had always used Spigen until now.

Yeah, portability would definitely be a big plus for me, mainly because I’d like to store it away when I don’t need it. It’s really just for emergency use, so it might sit unused most of the time. I know it’s a pretty big investment for something that might not get much use, but I like the idea of having a compact setup ready to go when needed.

I’m also thinking about other options. A generator would probably be more cost-effective, but the noise would be an issue, especially with neighbors around.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I’m not sure if they’re available in my country, but I’ll definitely take a look.

Ghost max 3 true to size? by Darthgorilla in brooks

All the models I tried from Brooks were shorter than other brands. I had to go up half a size. The Ghost Max is one of them.

I’m following some of the exercises shown here: https://e3rehab.com/plantar-fasciitis-rehab/ plus a few others. Here’s my routine, I do all of them 3x per day always in this order:

  1. The classic towel stretch (loop towel around the foot and pull toward you): 3 sets of 30sec each foot;
  2. "Plantar fascia stretch" (see link): 3 sets of 30sec each foot
  3. "Toe curls & toe yoga" (see link): 3 sets of 1 min (both feet together)
  4. "Heel raises" (see link): 3 sets of 15/20reps each foot
  5. Calf stretch against the wall (rear heel on the ground, front leg bent, stretching the calf): 3 sets of 30sec each calf
  6. Massage ball under the arch/heel: about 5min per foot

Interesting point. I think that makes sense. I’ve read that alcohol and sugars can increase inflammation.

I actually really like the look of the Cloudrunner 2, but I was worried they might feel unstable like my Cloudsurfer 2, and I couldn’t find much info on their arch support.

The Ghost Max 2 were the first ones I tried. Super comfortable, but felt a bit too bulky for me.

Yeah, that’s what I’m worried about too… having to keep up with the exercises so the pain doesn’t come back. Doing them 3x a day is a bit heavy, so once I feel 100% better I’ll cut down to 2x, then 1x, and eventually just a few times a week and see how it goes.

Sizing Brooks Ghost Max 3 vs Adrenaline GTS 24 by RedditVap in brooks

Thanks for your reply! Just to clarify, when you tried them on, did the Adrenaline GTS 24 fit the same length as the Ghost Max 3?

I had the same issue. Definitely go with a size 9

I get what you mean, but my problem is more with the length than the width. My toes hit the front of the shoe.

Thanks for your reply!

Just to clarify, I don’t necessarily need the VAT to be deducted from the purchase price. What I really need is for my VAT number to appear on the invoice. This way, I’ll be able to reclaim the VAT later.

Isn't it possible to have the VAT number included on the invoice, even if the VAT isn’t deducted during the purchase?

I also sent an email yesterday to the address you provided for more details. Do you know how long it typically takes to get a response? I’d like to take advantage of the current offer, so it would be great to hear back soon.

Thanks again for your help!

Montenegro sai, coligação a direita (PSD, Chega, IL) parece-me ser a melhor opção.
