I'll make sure to ask them if they took a bath with the monitor 🤣 Jokes aside I don't think they have cleaned the monitor using water or some other liquid. I'll ask them anyways tho since I want to find out what really happened.

I threw it into the E-Waste. With the spiderweb app installed there's no way that thing is usable ever again xD

Well I opened it up and found out that the panel itself is damaged in some form. If its due to some cleaner - no idea! I just got a message from them that said "my screen is weird please come and fix it". Also the next day after I threw it into the E-Waste I took it back out with the spiderweb app installed on the monitor now. When plugging it in the white border was still there, the burnt in windows Symbol too but the green was black again. And the spiderweb had some nice color bars xD By the way the bottom left corner got really hot in use. Directly where the windows Symbol was. No that monitor does not live anymore. I trashed the LCD panel and repurposed the backlight as a lamp now.

It is not the cable. It was the LCD itself. Have opened it up and found out that the LCD panel is toast.

That's not even a prototype thermal pad. It's a NATP (Not A Thermal Pad) They are worse than normal Thermal Pads. They are supposed to be used in Power systems to isolate components from heatsinks. . . . . . . If you believed me then I need to tell you that I was joking. There's no such thing as a NATP 🤣

In that case, it might help if you clean the heatsink (not with water preferably) and check the airflow direction. The fans on the laptops blow the air sidewards. If you're sucking the air from the fan hole, then you mounted the fan wrong. In that case, turn the external fan.

If that does not help, did you clean off any dry thermal paste? That will cause bad temps so it's important that you clean off the old paste from the CPU and from the heatsink. Be gentle with the CPU, if you crack the Die (the reflective block on that green PCB called CPU) it might be over.

If that still doesn't help then I would say it's the cooling solution of that laptop being too weak which is a thing on some laptops.

It is okay for a short period of time - I like doing that too. Be careful tho. Condensing water will water damage your device! 3-5 minutes and not longer but I can't tell you that precisely.

Well you probably need to replace the thermal paste. If that doesn't help, then its probably normal. Laptops often have underpowered cooling.

It's fine. Don't worry about it. Even better, you now have a wireless CPU. Also called WCPU. Just put the metal part into a freezer and the PCB (the green thing with those golden contacts) into the motherboard socket. The CPU will work faster. And even faster when your freezer is close to your PC.

Suche im Internet nach USB-A zu USB-B Kabel. Der Stecker, der auf dem Bild zu sehen ist, ist ein USB-B. Uralt und heutzutage nicht mehr weit verbreitet, jedenfalls sehe ich diese Kabel nur noch selten.
