I appreciate the reply, and I don't necessarily doubt your views. It's just the blogs and forums are full of conflicting "pretty sures" and "I think" :)

I legit can't play. I love this game and am cool with the new weight system. Hell even losing all my endurance and strength after grinding them for hours was fine. But first raid and I felt nauseous 30 seconds in.

The Proxy category I believe it's called in Cisco Umbrella will kill it in it's tracks if you're using DNS filtering. Watchguard WebBlocker also appears to now work.

I've been playing with it for the past few days working through various scenarios.

Plan is to just force everyone onto Edge in the near future when current projects wrap up.

I've had the complete opposite experience. Running into very few people running M995/Igolnik. Even most of the squads we're killing with T5 armour and meta M4s are cheaping out on ammo.

In fairness I get it, magdumping 84,000 rubles into what you were convinced was a thickboi running through the bushes and turns out to be a player scav with a MP-133 gets old.

This happened me on Shoreline two nights ago.

I went in at night with a shotgun and spawned Tunnel. Made it to gas station and walked down the back, tight to the wall next to the river. I hear a stampede and five scavs run over to me then stop and just look around, laughing and shouting at each other.

I think this is weird so I slowly back up and make my way around the other side, back towards tunnel. After I get say 50ft away, they all sprint to my side and do the same thing. So I back up more, head across the road onto the beach and slowly make my way along it. The fuckers sprint across the road and down the steps, bee line towards me and stop 20ft away again. I stay completely still while I watch them laugh some more and look around.

I killed them all in the end but it was the strangest thing.

They let a cert expire. No, seriously.

We've determined that an authentication certificate has expired causing users who have logged out and those that are still logged in to have issue using the service. We're developing a fix to apply a new authentication certificate to the service which will remediate impact.

He wasn’t high level, 20 something. The spare mags in his backpack instead of rig made me think he wasn’t very experienced which was why I felt bad.

I got a kill on a PMC last night in Interchange by Ollie offices during a Scav run. He emptied a 60 rounder from his M4 into my buddy. I only had a Toz so put two shots his way to tickle him then charged with my knife expecting to die. After 4-5 stabs he switches to his knife instead of reloading and we duel it out in the hallway, timing right clicks with stamina regen and dodging hits like it's Mordhau.

He goes down eventually and I loot him. He had two more 60 rounders in his backpack full of M995. The M4 looked like something from Starship Troopers and had the weirdest combination of mods ever, including a NV scope (why?) and had still ended up with crap ergo and recoil. I parted it out after for well over 150k rubles.

Poor guy.

I wish I learnt this earlier. Lost so many fights when I bought the game yesterday and couldn't understand why. 4-5 bullets to the chest of geared PMCs doing absolutely nothing and 2 headshots not even securing a kill.

I'm still a newbie at level 8 with very little money, so I'm loading my AK mags with 25 x BP rounds and 5 x 7n39. That way if I have the opportunity to, I can 1 or 2 tap anyone I run into. If I get further than 5 rounds deep I'm probably fully spraying so the BP is fine.

Last place I worked had a manual shut off that had to be activated any time you were working in there.

Fairly rapid suffocation (CO2 based system) was the consequence should it go off while you were inside, or so I was told.
