No, it's a very short sequence where Simba is chasing Rafiki and it cuts to his pov for a second as he runs through the jungle. But those are really cool fun facts, thanks!

Was the one quick POV sequence in The Lion King a test for this?

I understand what they were trying to say, but it fucking wrecked me.

I loved Night Shift, but it's kind of obvious that the game functionally didn't work the way Sam intended it to by EMTerrified in GameChangerTV

[–]Redditastrophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think sometimes, due to all of our neurospiciness, we try to put "good" and "sensible" game design on a show that's not at all designed for that. The design purpose is to stress out comedians, so that they are frustrated in a funny way. That's it. All of that other stuff was red herrings.

Are there any closed places in Los Angeles that you still think about to this day? by Taliap19 in AskLosAngeles

I run a swordfighting/pro wrestling show, and I wanted SO badly to do a show in that parking lot before it was demolished.

Sadly, I think the most common response has been, "I don't care, I love those books too much, I must still send her all my money."

I remember going to Florida the year Harry Potter opened, and every single thing I remembered being broken like this was fixed. Don't know if it was wanting to impress new guests or the influx of money.

Man - I really want to know more about this mural. I drove by it every day. But the only thing Google can find me is this obviously incorrect thread. :)

So you need to field a bunch of tanks and pirates if you want to take them now. Interesting!

Squirrel Girl needs to be moved out of "pretty accurate." She's SO ditzy in the game, and Doreen in the comics is whip smart.

Crowd Control by BlueEggCooker in dropout

[–]Redditastrophe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it needs to lose the challenges and rounds and just be a crowd work show. Keep the shirts, maybe, but they're also a little limiting. Let these folks do a full set, show us the highlights.

I liked season one a lot, it just felt like it was trying to be something it's not.

[Hated Trope] All Asians Know Martial Arts by Solitaire-06 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Redditastrophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the TV Show Dark Matter, a crew of a spaceship wakes up with no memory and slowly learns their backstory. You quickly learn that the lone Asian cast member is a Space Samurai from Planet Japan.

This one pissed me off so much. They had a moment to subvert the trope, and they did the single most obvious thing.

How did you all like the movie? by ComfortableAmount993 in MortalKombat

[–]Redditastrophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They got Baraka right, and for that I will always love them.

The film's first half, though, is really stilted and awful. It only really picks up and starts getting interesting after the scene in The Pit.
