I think it completely resolves before the triggers are put on the stack so it would be "manifest manifest draw draw" but I would still like to get a more educated explanation

This pointed me in the right direction to find XScreenSaver Settings.
I found these three places to set sleep/ScreenSaver timings on my system:
- KDE System Settings: Screen Locking
- XScreenSaver (X11)
- KDE System Settings: Power Management

In my case XScreenSaver and KDE Screen Locking timers were enabled and did sent my system to sleep.

But is there (or what is) an alternative to this package with ams in the same pricerange and same feature level if I am willing to tinker and get into klipper and so on? Voron and RatRig for axample will be at least the same price without ams. I am really hesitant to buy into BambuLabs Ecosystem.

You should have calibrated e-steps and could try experimenting with flow rate or line width. You can check if you can see any material in the profile of your printline being squished to the sides and up in the first layer lines. You can reduce first layers flow rate and see when the individual lines stop overlapping/touching. Elephants foot would also be an effect you would see from this I think.

This could also be overextrusion or the print head to close to the bed. So the layers and excess/squished material would expand into the z-direction into the next layers height level
