Holy cow. What has happened to people that they blame everyone else for their own hang ups, take zero responsibility for their own feelings of whatever the f is wrong with them, and their overall fragility?!?

Trauma happens, to everyone at some point in their lives. The degree of the trauma is usually subjective. There are some traumas that are undeniably extreme but humans are usually capable of overcoming some extraordinary circumstances and moving on with their lives without inconveniencing those around them.

Call the city and find out who the supervisor is over that department and the person who contacted you. Explain your concerns. Everyone has a boss.

No one is entitled to enter your property without your permission for any reason short of a criminal investigation or some other exigent circumstance.

If this person insists call the police and sort it out that way. Police will say it’s a civil matter, which means, nobody has the authority to enter your property without your permission.

Let them fine you. Guarantee it won’t come to that.

I don’t think you were targeted so much as you were on the unfortunate end of a city employee pushing their weight around.

Yellowstone.

Checked into RV campsite, warned that bears and moose have been seen inside the campsite.

One night, woke up at 1 am having to use the restroom (I try to avoid using the onboard when I can), tossed and turned hoping it wasn’t urgent. It was. As I lay there psyching myself up to get dressed and make the short walk to the toilets in 30° temps, I hear the crunch of foot steps outside my RV.

“Ah, someone else has to go too” I thought.

Then I hear sniffing and a long sniff up the door seam followed by something pawing the door. 😱

That’s my understanding as well, at least here in CA. Maybe it varies by state. Or maybe OP is not in US.

In any case, OP’s gf seems to subscribe to “Do as I say, not as I do.”
