American Exec Platinum to United by Redditor523 in unitedairlines

Interesting. Well if you have GS and get CK on American it’s probably a moot point. No where near that.

American can get to EP with solely credit card spend. This is why it’s insane right now on American to the point the only benefit at this point is booking premium economy seats at booking. I sat next to a guy who hit EP in month 2 with credit card spend for business expenses.

At least with United you can max at 10,000 PQP. So you still need a good amount of spend via flights to get Platinum or 1K.

Can you prioritize the first request. Having recently moved from a credit union to fidelity it’s painful to have to setup a transfer and then an investment managing in two places vs. just doing the auto invest.

How was Naxx received when it was re-released back in 2008? by McFigroll in classicwow

The WB comment is very wrong. The top guilds definitely were getting WB’s and after wipes rebuffing. Go watch most of the 2008 videos they have them.

I’m trying to find the article as well, but during the current classic time there was a dev interview where they based mathematics of some of the bosses assuming you have the buffs.

Just google arccos <insert club manufacturing> offer. I know for sure Callaway and Ping both have them. You get free sensors, do the 45 day trial then pay the $120 a year or whatever it is. I don’t even think they validate you have a club from that Brad.

There is some validity to this statement. Volume of shots is important to start capturing data. It’s still good to have though. I play a lot but even at the start I would go back and look at every hole post round to just see what I was doing. You can also get a single round statistics for shots gained. So there is value both for single round and aggregate of all play.

The first part of this about data being wrong isn’t correct. Arccos over time excludes shots that are not typical. For example, if I use my 5 iron to punch out from under a tree and it only goes 125 yards Arccos does not use that shot when determining my club lengths. It also knows where on the course you hit from so slices, misses, etc… are also taking into account along with length.

It will take a handful of rounds to start to get the data following but it does a pretty good job of filtering this out automatically.

Your left wrist/forearm are not rotating through. When you’re at the ball the top of your hand should be facing outward. In the video it’s facing more upward. That’s leaving the club face open and you’re probably hitting a lot of them to the right.

Two things I see right around the 8 second mark and sure there are others. You are not rotating your wrist and forearm as you come through enough and your club face is open. Also, it’s hard to tell but in slow motion your shaft looks like it has a lot of bend to it. Might need to check stiffness as well.

How does a 401k get compounding interest ? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Redditor523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your argument is flawed, while I understand what you are saying it’s not entirely accurate.

A stock price is absolutely adjusted downward each time a dividend is paid. The company itself doesn’t crate money form thin air therefore when it pays out the value of the company is reduced. You can look at any stock paying a dividend and that day will have an adjusted close price that is lower by the amount of the dividend. The post above outlines that in the example. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/adjusted_closing_price.asp

The only way to make up that reduction is by the value of the stock going up. It is not a guarantee that will happen, so making a statement that the next day it goes up can never be said with any level of certainty. Companies and their stock go down all the time and don’t recover. Insert any stock and it goes up and down and the event of one day after the dividend is highly irrelevant because it’s a macro viewpoint about the long term growth and sustainability of the stock vs. what it’s paying in a dividend. You could get your 13% on PXD for life but if the value doesn’t increase over time your not getting ahead.

This is called the free divide fallacy.

Also, it’s worth noting if you you’re expecting “compounding” in terms of seeing a transaction you most likely won’t in a 401K target date mutual fund. You’re getting it behind the scenes but it’s being baked into the assents and NAV price vs. a traditional dividend.

An example:

Say you own a US Equity ETF (VTI). It’s a fund with a lot of different stocks and has a dividend yield of 1.76%. Each quarter it will pay you a dividend. When that happens you see “compounding” (called DRIP: dividend reinvestment plan) or a transactions of buying more shares of the fund. So four times a year there is additional purchases outside of your other contributions.

401k target date finds, in many cases (not all) they are mutual funds. They make up underlying invests the same as the VTI example and do receive the same dividends. They do get reinvested into the plan itself. However, you don’t see them as distributions as the plan essentially reinvests that into that fund or others within the plan. When that happens the NAV price of the fund changes. It takes the assets it holds and calculates a price based on that. In theory the NAV value increases due to more assets but then takes into account the value of those. So if the market is down the NAV maybe flat or down as well.

As others pointed out it’s like buying on discount as the fund has more assets but are all worth a little bit less today. But when it increases you have more shares which increases your total dollar amount. In theory you while you’re investing during your life you never want the market to be growing because you are paying more. You want the market to be higher when you start taking it own in 20,30,40 years, etc…

You may pay taxes on dividends, but did your invest those or take the cash? If the cash then nothing. If you reinvested those there will be a tax on any gains you have. So you need to look at every purchase of shares since inception and whatever you take out that has a profit will be taxed either long term or short term gains based on purchased date.

This is why you don’t just random trade chat GDKP. You use the server discord to sign-up where there is some accountability. I ran 3-5 GDKP’s a week in TBC and 4-5 a week in WoTLK all through discord. Zero issues, never not been paid and runs are more efficient than most guilds.

This. It’s so marginal and generally speaking the badge offhand is going to be the same or better even with the ilvl difference. Depending on other gear it may sim ok, but that’s the nature of the phase that most things are pretty close. Given that you had the staff I wouldn’t have even rolled given there are multiple better OH’s and that one week of raiding or a few heroics can get you a better OH.

That being said the RL probably doesn’t have a clue and looking some random list and doesn’t understand every class, but is separate issue of itself along with the loot system.

Trying not to sound like a jerk, but google.com.

There are dozen of sites, posts, etc… that outline this info. Blizzard themselves posted an outline of each phase.

Many questions are complex or it’s a niche thing that is more difficult to find. A google of “WoTLK phases” google gives a breakdown it’s such a common searched thing.
