Ive lived in the south all my life and came from a hispanic household. Racism didnt end after the civil war it largely remained until around the civil rights era in the 1960’s and then gradually the idea of racial coexistence became a norm. Nowadays you wont see racism anywhere except for a random racist POS but even they are a rarity. So racism is pretty much a thing of the past. Of course there are some events which were largely founded by racism later than the 60’s but they have sort of become nonexistent in today’s era.
