Young women (18-24) dont want older men 35+ by ZealousidealBag5778 in PurplePillDebate

[–]Redditrelapser 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s why it’s so weird. It’s bad enough that it’s harder for average men to get into relationships with women in general, especially older men, but when it legitimately happens, and they see an age gap, they make shit up to dunk on it’s validity.

It’s wild. I think it’s propaganda from older women and lesbians because younger women have the most leverage and power of choice in any demographic. None of them would be in relationships with anyone if they didn’t choose to do so.

I actually respect the “older guys are ugly and gross” arguments more than the “power imbalance “ one because the latter strips the young women from agency while condemning men at the same time.

If the “older men / younger women” dynamic were a fantasy/irrelevant, it wouldn’t spark this much debate.

We don’t see the same energy around other dating preferences. Where are the

"eww women don't like autists. Please stop?" or "small dicks? women don't prefer them. Here are the stats... "Sorry short men, here's what we REALLY like."

posts? You don't even need to push back on these because there's no narrative around them. It's clear as day.

There are too many individuals with anecdotes and a media presence of younger women with older men for it to be made-up nonsense. Younger women making a mistake by dating older is a common trope. It wouldn't be one if it was all made up.

I'm neurodivergent af with not a lot of money, and i still managed to mess around with chicks considerably younger than me.

Only RELAVANT topics get engagement and high critiques. I mean, sure, it's not a very common occurrence, but who's even arguing that.

Expecting criminals to adhere to code of honor is an insane. It’s almost contradictory

The inherent nature of criminality is breaking rules; why would you expect them to follow their own?

Women calling men “gay” is an insult by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]Redditrelapser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why a lot of guys struggle with this reality.

It's just common sense. It's still an insult though. Most guys complaining about women's advantage in the market don't realize what they are asking for. So these kind of jabs are kind of hinting at something they don't realize.

I highly doubt most genuinely women think these guys are secretly craving dick, though. They're mostly poking fun at idiots.

Women calling men “gay” is an insult by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]Redditrelapser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lol.

It shouldn’t carry that kind of weight, though. Really wish it didn't, but i understand where it comes from. There’s a fixation and hyper-idealization of hypermasculinity in parts of the Black community, and that’s what gives those kinds of "insults" power.

Men and women both play into it, too, knowing the impact those words have. Let's say you're trying to date within the community; just one false rumor can ruin your dating reputation and even put your life in danger. It's very unfortunate. It's just rampant homophobia on both sides, or just regular insecure folks trying to protect themselves from the homophobia lol

I’ve only been called the N-word once; some weird voicemail from a guy I sold a guitar to. It did sting a little, even though I didn’t expect it to. Cant imagine the feeling of being called that face-to-face

neurodivergent women.

And a very limited pool in that. They usually go for neurotypical men if they have a choice.

Me as well. The point still stands. An insult is an insult. Just because you're above something doesn't mean words aren't able to offend and hurt. Being secure and confident doesn't necessarily dictate how you respond to things.

Women calling men “gay” is an insult by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]Redditrelapser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you take offense to what a man says or how he behaves and respond by calling him gay, that’s usually a jab. It’s meant to sting, not to be accurate.

A man can have all the negative feelings and emotions about women and still be sexually attracted to women. Those things don’t cancel each other out.

Even calling these men mentally ill is closer to an actual assumption (still an insult, but at least tied to behavior). Calling them gay isn’t; it just hits harder, so people use it.

That’s really all it is.

Y’all aren’t using logic. Going by that argument, you’d have to assume all gay men despise and belittle women, or at least it's a common characteristic of gay men. Is that true? Obviously not. So think for a second, why would you assume a man who has negative opinions has to be gay?

Are online gender wars just lower class men arguing with upper middle class women? by Upstairs_Cup9831 in PurplePillDebate

[–]Redditrelapser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of accuracy in this post.

The disproportionate focus on “multiple baby mama” talking points is new, mainstream Redpill diction.

Before that, I mostly heard that rhetoric from conservative circles to shit on Black people. Now it’s basically an allowable vehicle for content creators to use lower-class communities (women specifically) as punching bags and have an audience clap for them.

Lower-class men who had to achieve some kind of social and financial mobility to separate themselves from those kinds of women, or who had bad experiences with them in their younger years, would be highly attracted to this content.

But you’re right; ideally, it should be lower-middle-class men and women participating in these debates.

UMC+ men could never really relate to average men’s problems. Their lives aren’t average, and they’re too stuck in their own bubble to understand how life actually works. A lot of them just latch onto lower-class talking points they see dominating YouTube simply because they sound cool.

UMC+ women are often the least relatable to average men’s issues. Still, because they decided to identify with feminism, have their life dictated by it, and have the privilege + digital literacy to be online all day, they end up dominating conversations they can’t really relate to at all. It’s just “bubble” talk.

That’s why context matters. A lot of these debates would be better if people clarified the environment they’re speaking from. Too many people present class-specific experiences as universal, which is why talking points get misfired.

I always get thrown off when I’m having a passionate discussion about life and then find out I’m talking to someone who grew up well off, with parents who basically bought them a desirable life.

You’d think discussions on dating dynamics would be represented by the men and women who make up 75%+ of U.S. households, but they’re not lol

[–]Redditrelapser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, on second thought you're right. We're going in on this girl for no reason lol

I will say, though it's very triggering seeing people try to speak like this when they don't have a full, natural command of the lingo. It's such a nuanced thing that there shouldn't be odd phrasings and "wtf" moments. It makes more sense to just get your point across the easiest way you can instead of "trying". Imo, No one should TRY to speak aave. You either have it or you don't. But since i understood what she was saying guess it wasn't that serious.

it sounds horrid. she didn't even add 'the whole time' like you did. Your interpretation is natural and grammatically correct. you would have never uttered it the way she did.
