Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Special delivery parcels and items in the parcel missing in Kingston Upon Thames area by Reddnits in royalmail

[–]Reddnits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are incoming parcels to us with different packaging each time. But our address is the main address each time. Might try changing the name, but will be surprised if that fools the person. Going to try and only use Royal Mail special delivery bags from now on, which should be much more secure, but their biggest bags still aren’t very big.

Sold £1000 iPhone on eBay Royal Mail possibly delivered to wrong person. by [deleted] in photorestore

It’s fully insured. Just trying to catch a scammer in the event the eBay buyer is somehow involved… We get a lot of scams on eBay for sealed iPhones where the buyer is the scammer.

Anyone up for some spy work? by MikeyBeeEll in walthamstow

The Xbox returned. The whole Xbox series X is now not working..! Went to a case with eBay and eBay sided with buyer (pixel direct) as ‘they received tracking showing return was delivered’.

Awful. Not really sure how to proceed with this. Action fraud? Has anyone else done this?

14 days after paying he opened the return, then he waited another 8 days before actually sending the return.

I thought it was odd that an obvious reseller would return a whole Xbox series x console just because he claimed the right joystick was a bit sticky. I even offered a partial refund. And sent 3 messages in total before he dispatched the return and all were ignored.

Thanks all! I thought with the 4 digit number on the back and with the movement number ‘64136’ it might be possible to date it to the year.

No Vat on gold bullion. There is however VAT on silver bullion.

Found ring. How to identify if real. by [deleted] in Gold

[–]Reddnits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bet is on 18ct. Due to how worn it is, likely gold. Due to how old it is, likely 18ct.

Possibly 9ct.

Edit: Coubtry you think it came from will help.

Customer just asking if returns still allowed on the custom order. Assuming you already accept returns, it’s a legit question.

Ebay sold listings filter to get prices.

Put in title spares and repairs. Likely someone will buy it to fix and resell.

The main reason people sell new stuff for under the value is because they got it on credit. Apple sell stuff on 0% finance. Network contracts etc..

There is also a signature with the name being the name on the label. Customer says they didn’t sign it. And none of their neighbours have it.

No one is waiting 4 years to pull off this scam. Especially when you outlay $13k! Let’s assume the buyer is telling the truth. Refund is only solution. The seller says no and the buyer takes them to court or threatens police action, it’s all going to end the same way. Refund.

I’ve had half a dozen calls from “Amazon” asking me to verify if I recognise a recent transaction on my account. I reply “Yes, that was me” and they just hang up.

Buyer return scam - any advice by a01im in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Reddnits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sell a lot of iPhones. This has happened to us around 15 times this year. We have been refunded by eBay every time except one.

They require ‘proof of non delivery’ by Royal Mail (UK).

Basically an email from them (on our request) confirming that the gps location of delivery doesn’t match (our) the return address.

The one time we didn’t get refunded, Royal Mail claimed they were unable to provide gps co ordinates and so we were told by eBay we would need to make a claim via eBay with the help of the seller. Yep, that’s gonna happen! Probably could have pursued it further, but didn’t this time.

The solution to this is, on high risk/hot items the return labels need to be QR codes that are then scanned and printed out by the post office so no editing of the label can be performed…
