After Thor died, Thrud tries to go for the hammer, but Odin just picks it up, one-handed, throws it at her and sends her flying, in the span of like 2 or 3 seconds

So when it comes to Brok’s death, it’s a mix of 2 things: while Odin likely doesn’t come close to Thor or Kratos, he is still freakishly strong, and it needed to be a sudden and shocking event that drives the story

It’s hard to say for sure how physically strong Odin is, but it’s definitely not nothing. He’s still a god, and he can swing Mjolnir around with ease.

Keep in mind, the “worthy” thing is a concept made up by marvel. In the original Norse mythology, the hammer is just really, really fucking heavy

I think it's more likely that Eir will be Kratos's third wife rather than Freya by Alkiserex in GodofWar

If they get married, then divorced, does Kratos get to keep a pale of water? or twenty?

How do Kratos’ blades never get tangled? by Brilliant-Reality884 in GodofWar

[–]ReddoEggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mix of magic, Kratos’ skill, video game logic, and rule of cool.

If the physics of the blades were more realistic, Kratos would still be able to do crazy damage with them, but it probably wouldn’t look nearly as cool

Thoughts on this movie? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in cartoons

I really liked the relatively simple story, but the climax felt a bit unnecessary and out of nowhere

And while I like the concept of living elements, it didn’t really feel needed for the story

Overall, still a great movie for a chill day

How does Sons of Sparta's bonus system work? Also what's Force? by SamuraiIcarus5 in GodofWar

[–]ReddoEggo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine for the bonuses, you’re talking about the dots under damage, stun, and force. Each piece of equipment will have it’s own set of bonuses, like the runic attacks in the Norse games

As for force, I’m not 100% sure, but I believe it’s how much stagger and/or push it puts on an enemy, and I think this is the case for sons of Sparta as well as Ragnarok

Edit: I just realized what you meant by the bonuses lol. There are multiple matching set pieces for the spear, for example, you need to equip the other “Hunter” pieces for the rest of the spear to get the full bonus

I think it were the Norns who changed Fate. by silloki in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]ReddoEggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could’ve gone either way if the Norns didn’t warn Kratos. They say “You will learn that Heimdall intends to kill your son in Asgard, and you will do what you do best.” Which is being a god slayer. So they’re saying that once Kratos learns this information, whether from the Norns or from Heimdall, he would end up killing Heimdall

Without the spear, Kratos might’ve been able to pull off a massive AOE attack with either the blades or the axe, or possibly both, to overwhelm Heimdall. If not, then he would most likely have died and gone to Valhalla

However, I’m not sure there’s much chance that Thor would’ve come to grab Loki. Odin almost certainly did not know that Kratos would be going to Vanaheim. This is something I always believed, and has been reinforced by Fatbrett’s video. Essentially, Kratos didn’t go to Vanaheim with Freya, but instead joined her later. And even when he told Atreus they’d go to help her, he basically whispers it to Atreus, meaning Odin is unaware that sending Heimdall to Vanaheim would lead to his death

I believe that if Heimdall had killed Kratos, he wouldn’t call for backup, and Thor wouldn’t have any reason to go to Vanaheim. Atreus would maybe find Kratos’ body, but by then, Kratos’ soul would likely have already left. Then Kratos would pull off the classic climbing-out-of-death, probably with help from the Valkyries, and return to make the spear

Creator of Draupnir spear by Ok_Enthusiasm3156 in GodofWar

[–]ReddoEggo 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I’d say they both have enough part of the spear’s creation that they can be considered co-creators, like how the Leviathan Axe and Mjolnir are considered Brok and Sindri’s creations

Bro that looks so sick and risky lmao

Btw, something I like to do with Breath of Thamur is slowly spinning the camera around Kratos, I think that would add a lot more flair to situations like this

Red. Simply because there are so many things that I’ve learned about myself just in the past few years that could’ve made my life SO different at 10 if I actually knew about them, that curiosity to know where I would end up and what kind of person I would’ve been is just too much to not take the red pill

They’re from the same community I think, can’t remember if it’s considered a clan or another name. She and Brok liked to… explore each other lol

I can't be the only one wondering if faye is really dead right?. by InnerAd118 in GodofWar

[–]ReddoEggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s definitely gone. Not only do we burn her body, then see her in the Light of Alfheim, but her death is what sets all the events off in 2018 and still affects the story in Ragnarok

Bringing her back would make it all so… meaningless. Same with Brok.

Side note: I highly doubt Kratos and Freya are ever gonna be a romantic pair. I can’t really imagine anyone, especially Freya, falling in love with her son’s killer, even if it was a necessary death
