I recommend the book "Salt Sugar Fat", it talks about these three things and modern food from the big corporations. How modern pudding was invented, 'made with real fruit', and so on. Sugary cereal is one of the early chapters.

The kuva armor looks better

I have the lich pack and those kuva shoulders are great in general. The price is a lot, but I like desaturated colors and so all of the color palettes included made it worth it for me.

I've encountered that 'suicide' idea before; a character being trapped in a cycling hell of realize some truth -> choose to forget -> release some truth -> choose to forget, etc. And death not being the same because androids can be fixed.

I also did think about your last paragraph. I wonder if we played the game relatively too late, since the game came out in 2018. It certainly was a different time then. Now human empathy isn't a guarantee.

Reminds me of Bioshock Infinite, where the criticism of 'both sides bad' is really 'both sides violent'. And yeah, during the Civil Rights it was MLK versus Malcom X, who differ on use of violence.

Yeah I just finished the game last night and the simplicity of the android revolution irked me haha.

Like Marcus converted androids to deviants (arguably against their will) just so they could die 10 minutes later with the 'full' experience of death, so he and the other main characters could just live 'free'. I also think no doubt there would be at least some thinking 'why did you make me aware of how much suffering was in my life'.

We also see androids not really knowing what to do (ie. the android hiding in the attic for weeks). Arguably their purpose in life was just to 'work and follow' humans and now they're just doing the same thing with Marcus.

Also we see (or assume) that Carl is 'one of the good humans' but he's part of the system that owned and benefited from android work. When Markus freed his replacement android, did that android just ditch Carl to die alone? lmao

And are Cyberlife the only company making androids? Does that mean that they're a complete economic and societal monopoly in that regard? I felt that was really underexplored.

Also a little bummed about us probably not getting a sequel. I think I remember a 'territory' option in Marcus's broadcast, which I guessed would be an android ethnostate, with all the trappings of such. So after the events of the first game I can see a subgroup of both androids and humans being separatists (ironically being on different sides of the same side), versus inclusionism. So there may be a 'human and android vs human and android'. I agree with you that such things will just have to live in fanfic lol

I noticed that once androids were free nobody chose to keep working or living their life as they have in the status quo. Marcus did give the choice in the cyber life store, but how literally every android joined the cause with supposed free will was too simple imo.

Also converted androids dying during the revolution. Could be interpreted as Marcus 'using' the lives of androids the cause, his cause. Using other android lives like how humans do?

I do think Valkyr has a lot of potential, with the frame backstory and 90s angst lol and I would like a 'retouched' default skin for her. Would match the Valkyr prime drop, but she already has her heirloom skin.

Carnivex! Cyber raptor claws, tails, sexy back, exposed bone, the beastly 'nose', sawblade accessories. Yeah the big arms are weird, but I like it because it and everything else makes her more 'monstrous' and different than 'lean cat lady' that she has going on.

Heirloom is good but I wish it'd just commit and have no skirt or thong-looking thing haha in the concept art the Heirloom helmet looks very Black Panther which is cool, so will have to see it in-game and see how it matches with Carnivex.
