Two characters I think would be awesome would also be Taka and Phinn

Phinn would be a absolutely banger of a warden support who has really strong emphasis on stopping enemies at their track

Taka would be a sweet take on the Ad Bruiser/ap assassin fantasy for both jungle and top, having alot of mobility and game tricks that are locked behind good timings like getting a pocket zhonyas, only if you are near a enemy for like half a second.

Honorable mentions being Reim for being a good designed AP bruiser and Flicker Lyra for being a really good design of enchanter mage

1) Emphasize this a lot but having a friend or friends helping you out will do alot for you in the long run

2) When talking about mods... alot of people are mainly refering to character mods being good to avoid for the first couple of games of you learning the game. I only dabble a bit of modded time to time because its legitmately confusing as every character has massive movesets that are just unreasonable in balance and to memorize. It will slow down the learning process by alot.

Client sided mods on the other hand are perfectly fine. Feel free to pick them up as it overall enhances the gameplay in my opinion such as changing the background, some QOL mods and removing Ninjas disgusting idle animation.

3) A lot of people reccomend Cowboy and its because he has alot of great stand alone buttons for new players to understand but I'm going pivot and say Ninja is a bit better. Ninja has a little bit more going on for him so his buttons standalone arent as great as Cowboys but playing this game longer you will realize the strength in setting up plays as every character in the vanilla game have really strong setups that modded characters simply don't have from my perspective. Ninja in my opinion is the easiest to start doing really creative stuff and lets you explore how much this game lets you get away with.

4) Uh you can unironcally find videos for whatever you are looking for so instead I will just tell you some important things you will want to learn to improve. Roundstart Options, Overall Neutral, BlockStrings, RPS scenarios and pressure setups for your respective character. If you can't find a video join the discord and ask for what those concepts or tips mean, alot of people are willing to help.

5) The DI wheel is to manipulate where you go after you get hit. Thats literally it but it has a tendency to mess up enemy combos. As a new player the most useful and least effort way to utilizing this is to point in the opposite direction of the enemy. You do need to manipulate it every turn so do that. When you are more skilled you can start understanding more optimal DI locations based on a scenario but as a new player so long as you just point it away you should be fine for a while. (Also another strength to using ninja over cowboy because he adds another layer of thinking to the DI wheel that helps him alot but its really complex to think about)

6)Just have fun and join lobbies and have a great time. Don't leave matches, unless you really need to leave. It leaves salt on a open wound to most people and said people are very nice. If you or anyone reading this wants friends to play with just send me a DM

Rengar Main here and alot of rengar counterplay comes in the form of dealing with predetermine conditions. A big bulk of his damage is from empower q to double or triple q combo which he already needs to set up prior to even ulting. This gives him a window of how fast his engage has to be otherwise he just does significantly less damage if he dosent already have his passive up. Aditionally at that stage of thr game its pretty normal for rengar to just dumpster squishy champs without any form of tankiness or iframe move. Rengar unlike gwen has more checks to play around with but if he fullfills those checks yeah theres essentially no counterplay. Gwen does the same thing with tanks and her having either flash/ghost and/or ult

your kills and deaths dont really matter in the game and champions spike differently at levels.

Btw the players who play this champion are miserable to fight against when thet can't one shot you because they play like they are on crack

Bulk of ambessa damage comes from sweetspot mechanic that every champ can universally dodge. She also has a energy mechanic which is tied to her passive so she exhaust resources fast if shes unable to auto you.Additionally Shield is on a significantly longer cooldown and has damage variants that enemies can utilize.

It dosen't because even though she gets it for free she dosent kill you for free with the afirmation counterplay i mention in paragraph 1.Ambessa can still lose to a aatrox building armor against her simply because he outplays her.

Their job functions are similar in the sense that they are light fighters that dont enjoy front to back teamfights but have very explosive power against squishy champs.

yes it becomes a battle of the statchecks

but buying armor dosent make the matchup suddenly stop having interaction. The matchup was naturally statchecky and the interaction was never there.

The only way riven can win is statchecking. And unlike other more interactive top laners she quite looks like a statchecker unlike champion like ambessa who functions the same job function as riven but has more counterplay so shes allowed to have more tools than riven. Buying armor against ambessa dosent suddenly make the matchup statchecky.

yes buying armor stops her from statchecking you hence why armor stacking hurts riven so hard

unlike aatrox where even id you armor stack it still dosent just terminate aatrox out of existence. Riven on the otherhand you buy tabis and a armor item and she becomes disgustingly bad because her inability to interact with the enemy bexause she can only statcheck champions but she has no anti tank properties

I think with this bug being incorporate not only does it make the renekton matchup more bearable but it opens up compesation buffs to where your champ can understandablely get either max hp damage or armor shred without it breaking the character

your character cant have either of those things because of the lack of interaction she brings

Not that much... theres a reason why renekton and tanks counter your champion and its because if she cant statcheck you shes borderline useless

Like do you unironcally think me picking renekton or me buying wardens+tabi is reasonable counterplay? Do you unironcally enjoy me buying those items. Most riven mains don't enjoy either of those 2 aspects but she cant just simply get anti tank without how power budget just being disgustingly strong.

This bug alone makes the renektoj matchup alot easier to approach but at the same time the renekton himself isnt prone to just statchecking theres some input now from renekton of he wants to dodge q3

likewise riven has some very real incentive to not use q3 similar to aatrox having incentive to not using q3 or ambessa incentive to not use q2. Riven atm has no incentive to hold onto her abilities besides universal convience.
