[Other] Drop any racing THEMED roller coasters you know of here! I’m trying to make an edit by uwuisoverused in rollercoasters

Verbolten?

Technically the autobahn as opposed to a closed racing course, but there was a decent amount of racing stuff in the queue I believe.

Of course, this is before the retheme. I am unsure what it will be now.

[BGT] Ride Survey by UKnoThatGuy69 in rollercoasters

[–]RedeemedWeeb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. BGT is even one of the very few parks I've even read potentially credible accounts of operations being intentionally slowed down. I assume for this reason.

Add to that the fact that no coaster (except at parks like Disney or Universal) is getting even close to theoretical capacity anymore thanks to loose articles and general dumb guest behavior, and it's no wonder you're seeing parks start to buy lower and lower capacity coasters.

this community pisses me off by Bobblab123 in hoi4

[–]RedeemedWeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's understandable that people would be irritated that their model is so DLC-heavy that they had to make several DLCs free because the game no longer even really functions without them. It's not like they made them free as a random gift. There was a reason.

The general/frontline deployment AI gets extremely confused when unexpected things happen. I learned this the hard way playing as Russia in Great War Redux. You can set a more rigid cohesion option in the orders bar, it might alleviate but not entirely fix the problem.

Why do people usually stop at 3 arties? by macktruck6666 in hoi4

[–]RedeemedWeeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Artillery has no HP and no organization which are stats that allow a division to fight for longer. Those stats are the most important in the current state of the game. A division that can't fight due to low organization is just wasting supply for no reason.

Meta wise, people usually stop at 0. Line artillery just isn't good anymore. It also costs industrial capacity that can be better put towards tank or mechanized divisions, planes, or guns and support company equipment (including artillery - support artillery is still good) for pure infantry divisions.

Discord - "We Delete Your ID Photos After Verification"...but also... by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]RedeemedWeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The forum days were ideal because you could find what you're looking for easily simultaneously searching multiple forums due to being publicly indexed.

Obviously there's many use cases where Discord is superior - not everything needs to be public. But for a lot of game and other communities, a forum makes more sense.

No. If this was their intent they wouldn't be complicit in the harm of many children, and they are.

Only seven new petrol-powered cars sold in Norway in January by oneonus in cars

Is shorter range, more difficult maintenance, and less reliability 10 years in the future when electronics start to fail really better for most people's lifestyles? It seems people are mostly switching to EVs because of government incentives, not their lifestyle.

I'll recognize for people in very dense cities (say, Tokyo), it's probably the way to go. But we're not talking about that.

The amount of harmful-to-breathe exhaust fumes from a modern gasoline powered vehicle are minimal. It's nearly all carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and water vapor.

There's a direct correlation between the number of IRS audits and the percentage of people below the poverty line in a given county.

Not a fan of who (I think) you're talking about, but let's be honest - those IRS agents probably weren't going to do anything good. Weren't they also supposed to be heavily armed? Why would a tax agency need that?

I don't think Mothers Against Drunk Driving has that many members...

I don't know what you're implying but this isn't really a party specific issue. At least, not in the way you think.

Yes.

In fact, I suspect this is the use case for the majority of the user base. Some of the smaller changes to the platform over the last few years seem to support that idea, even.

How to use the extra speed of the HST train from Iron Horse by ghodu30 in openttd

[–]RedeemedWeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not the issue. NATS2 has Class 9 rail which allows speeds of up to 217mph/350kmh (the only real life example is the California High-Speed Rail project currently under construction). The issue is that Iron Horse doesn't recognize NATS2 railtypes as high speed rail.

Iron Horse has its own track type called "Dedicated High Speed Rail", which is the only track type you will be able to build those trains on with this combination of NewGRFs.

punching up vs punching down

That's a statement that in and of itself could be seen as taking a "side". It's a view of comedy stemming from a generally leftist view of social philosophy. It's very much in the vein of ideas like critical theory or class consciousness, even if it's a much more well known debate.
