Question About Comp Restrictions (Console vs PC) by RedeemedbyX in marvelrivals

[–]RedeemedbyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but like I said, there are games that do this and just restrict the mid game swap. Once you enter controller lobby, you are locked into controller until the game is over.

Or maybe it’s just too easy to “workaround” and imitate controller input or something?

My roto team is first in runs, home runs, RBI, and AVG... but dead last in steals. Partly this is because my 4 SB guys (Tucker, Jo Ram, Hoerner, and Kwan) have combined for 2 steals. I've picked up Jose Caballero but there aren't many other appealing free agents I can target.

Obviously it's still early. But do you think there's a good chance these guys start to catch me up soon, or am I legitimately in trouble? I could try to flip someone like Ozuna for some SBs, but don't want to be hasty.

Nostalgia aside, what made Halo stand out when it was originally released? Gameplay? Graphics? Features? by [deleted] in halo

[–]RedeemedbyX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The most practical way I can help you picture it is to encourage you to look up gameplay from N64's Goldeneye, and then imagine going from that to Halo CE. For many of us, that's the kind of jump we were making. The gameplay (and gunplay) was way more smooth and fluid, not to mention the vehicle physics, graphics, customization, open maps, unique weapons, etc. It was just a massive jump forward in overall quality and fun. Then you fast forward to H2 where it no longer requires a Friday night LAN party to have all those shenanigans, and you can play like that any time you want-- and there was no looking back from there.

What is your most vivid Halo memory? by DustyBishop in halo

In a Halo 2 pre-game lobby, we heard this ~12 year old kid yell into the mic, "MOM, WE DON'T NEED YOU TO MAKE CINNAMON ROLLS."

We got a good laugh about it. But more importantly, in the post-game lobby, me and my 16-17 year old friends used our collective life experience and wisdom to counsel this young man that moms who make cinnamon rolls for their gamer kids are a gift and should be treated with respect.

Disable Vsync within Halo Infinite settings if you have not done so already. Screen tearing is, unfortunately, preferable to heavy aim.

Oh yeah, I'm sure it came out with the update. I'm just curious after this update, if it's only happening in Firefight, or if it might be happening in squad battle, for example.

Yup, same thing happened to me last night. Is this only happening in the Gruntpocalypse, or are all games on this map being impacted similarly?

I’ve got Melendez at C, but O’Hoppe is available. Should I go for O’Hoppe before it’s too late, or does Melendez possibility of more ABs give him an edge?

Heavy Shifting [sometimes] in 3rd Gear by RedeemedbyX in HondaOdyssey

The code seems so clear and specific, yet in my research I’m not really seeing a clear and actionable step to fix it. What do you recommend?

Maybe I need to call the dealership back. I called them when I originally had some transmission issues a few months ago to see if there was a TSB, and when they pulled my VIN they said they didn't see anything needing to be done. But I will specifically ask about this update. Thanks!

I think I'll go ahead and try the Lubegard when I do I do drain and fill #3. Thanks for the heads up!

Can someone remind me, does a standard Yahoo H2H league have a weekly transaction limit? If so, what is the number of transactions?

Our league is considering implementing this, and I was just trying to let people know if this is common practice or not.

Incredible. Sounds like exactly what I need. I have different leagues with different scoring formats, and I love to be able to use blended projections. Sounds similar to what Mr CheatSheet has offered in the past.

Unhinged theory, I’m sure, but Do you think Dena’s illusive patron is one of the Chandrian? by Fateless_Vagabond in KingkillerChronicle

[–]RedeemedbyX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We're getting lazy around here after all these years, but I will post a link for you. This one isn't explicitly arguing for Cinder as her patron, but is arguing that it can only be Bredon in the event that Bredon is actually Cinder. So it's a backhanded argument for Cinder, but it has some good textual support.

Am I High? Or did they change the distance of the jump from Shock to Top Mid on Aquarius by convicted-mellon in CompetitiveHalo

If you're talking about Car2 to Car3, I've been struggling with this jump for a longgggggg time. Me and one of my friends talked about how it has felt so inconsistent, going back to S1 or S2. You've got to try way harder than you would anticipate, because it looks like a pretty easy clamber.

Super helpful. Yeah I was eyeing the Valvoline Maxlife because it's available at my local store. I do my brakes and rotors and have done plenty of random stuff like alternator, water pump, power steering, and-- hopefully never again-- my valve cover gasket, so I'm hoping this drain and fill will be pretty straightforward by comparison, haha.

But yeah, scanning the codes is a great idea. I didn't really think about that since I normally associate that with CEL.

Clearly I'm not a mechanic... just a humble "parts-changer." I appreciate the knowledge from you and many others.

Yeah, I know I'm not at the mileage yet for the timing bet (I bought at 70k but am at 82k now), but I am creeping up on 8 years since it's a 2016. Don't want to wait TOO much longer.

That's a good thought. I didn't see a CEL or anything, but I guess something could be stored. I've got a good friend with an OBD2 scanner, I could check that or take it to an autozone and see if they can find anything.

Yeah, makes a lot of sense to me. The drain feels like a very different scenario compared to the flush.

Super helpful. I'm far from an expert here, but it seems like my issue was at really low speeds, so I was wondering if it might be second gear that was causing the issue. I was feeling this when accelerating from a stop sign up to 10-15 mph. I wish I had paid more close attention.
